i feel nurse is in a really bad spot where if you nerf her she becomes terrible and literally d tier but at the same time where she is, is not a good spot either and opens up a lot of problems for overall game balance for things like perks but i think shed need an actual rework to change her power lvl
Thing is, it is a terrible addon and I would never recommend it to anyone, not even someone trying Nurse for their first time. You are better to just play her without it from the start and instantly be working on getting a feel for blink ranges and charge times.
Adding a terrible addon to her base kit is an awful idea no matter how it is implemented imo
I hope they never nerf Nurse. She is fun to play and we need more killers like her to play, not because she’s op, but because she’s different, she’s challenging. I can say the same to Huntress and Spirit.
You’re assuming that new players can’t also build up muscle memory using the targeting icon which isn’t true. Different people are going to have different preferences for learning and a lot of people would find the character easier to learn and understand with the icon included.
Well everyone learns differently but my opinion is this addon should not be used. I can only say that as someone with hundreds of hours in Nurse alone and as someone who pretty much only plays Nurse. I would never recommend this addon in any context.
The general consensus is that nurse takes skill to play so it justifies her power level. Unlike old spirit or old deathslinger whenever you went down to a nurse it was usually due to some prediction or effort by the player. That's really all that nurse is though. Just prediction. I don't think she's as hard to play as people make her out to be. I'm not a god nurse but after playing her for like 3 days on and off I got to where I could land blinks pretty consistently.
With that being said I think she's in one of the best spots she's ever been balance wise. 5 blink nurses were basically impossible to escape. I also think that she used to move only very slightly slower than other killers. But that was early into the games life. With her bugs supposedly being fixed this new mid chapter I think she'll be playable again.
Yeah I agree, I am biased as I am a Nurse main but I did my hard slog of being bullied and humiliated over and over to get decent with her. Most people give up as survivors love to humiliate killers when they are learning and losing constantly can be very disheartening. Then you reach a point where you start to land a lot of your blinks and win matches and you get some hope... at which point you start to face survivors who are actually good and you start to feel like a noob again as good survivors can give you a real rough time.
I respect a good Nurse as I know they had to go through a lot of crap and humiliation to push through and get decent with her
You are definitly not a DBD veteran... I agree she's still strong in the right hands, but she's been changed so much since her release, perhaps the MOST changed killer of them all, atleast the most nerfed.
Despite being the strongest killer in the game, Nurse can be consistently beaten by survivors of a similar skill level, and considering how difficult it is to play her at said level I don’t see how it can be argued that she’s overpowered.
When she’s good it can feel unfair as there’s little counterplay other than trying to go down in a favourable position, but you can still win regardless, and if you nerf Nurse you essentially kill her at lower levels due to her initial learning curve.
so let me get this right? you want to nerf the 1 killer who can go against top tier players and get a reliable 2k but only if you have a good amount of skill with that killer???? how cushy do you want survivor to be?
You and him are objectively incorrect. Chases against Nurse are the killer's mindgames versus yours. Can you fake the better read? Can you make the better read? The better player comes out benefitting. You read it right and you evade the hit. You read it wrong and you get hit. You fake it right and you evade the hit. You fake it wrong and you get hit. If you were correct, she would not consistently 2K average against equally good survivors that know how to play versus Nurse.
Oh sure, nerf the killer with the lowest kill rate.
If you don't know how to handle a Nurse, that's on you. Maybe try to play her a get consistent wins and then see how you get your ass handed to you by good survivors. Then try to do the same.
This is objectively incorrect. Good survivors that know how to play against Nurse playing against an equally good Nurse can consistently 2-man escape on average.
Nurse should be nerfed over Pig. Kill rates are irrelevant. Nerfing the worst killer while ignoring the consensus strongest killer is nonsensical. I do not believe either needs nerfed, but Nurse should have been targeted over trash like Ghostface or Deathslinger, that is for damned sure.
You are free to give conclusive evidence that Nurse overperforms against players of an equal skill level that know how to play versus Nurse.
Also, that is not an argument. People that don't know how to play against Nurse will do bad against Nurse. That is not a problem, that's a given. If one side doesn't know how to play against the other, that is THEIR problem. They can learn.

i would cry if they made plaid flannel default it would be so annoying on my screen
Someone else had a good suggestion - make Plaid Flannel part of base kit but allow Nurse to toggle it on or off using the Activate Ability button.

They have cool powers and high skill ceiling.

You could just learn how to play against her instead of complaining she’s overpowered which is just blatantly objectively incorrect.
I disagree; I think it's important to understand the blink logic and memorize it with your mind's eye.
do u even play nurse? or are u just saying shes op cuz u went against one. she is the hardest killer to use, if you master her, you deserve your 4k

Most people give up as survivors love to humiliate killers when they are learning and losing constantly can be very disheartening. was in more of her Ultra rares / Very rares... they like.. More worse than blindness..
And that's STILL a thing,
Edit: to rework / addon pass those stupid addons..
A killer than many would consider the best while having plenty of counterplay and is also fun to verse?
"plenty of counterplay" ok bro.
You are definitly not a DBD veteran... I agree she's still strong in the right hands, but she's been changed so much since her release, perhaps the MOST changed killer of them all, atleast the most nerfed.

The Internet’s a world of knowledge at your fingertips. Go look up guides on playing against Nurse.
Yes. Plenty of counterplay. Just because it eludes you does not mean it isn't there.
Do you read every second topic title? Maybe its just me, but survivors seems to be quite active regarding the nerfs
so let me get this right? you want to nerf the 1 killer who can go against top tier players and get a reliable 2k but only if you have a good amount of skill with that killer???? how cushy do you want survivor to be?
No heS right. Tactically you don't have a say so. The entire chase is dependent on her skill level, not the survivors.
It doesn't matter if you fake right because she gets a second tele and a good nurse will always hit that one.
The gen average represents new people trying to learn her. If only vets played her she would have the highest ratio by far.
Because Nurse doesn't need to be nerfed any further. Simple as that.
There's nothing objective about that assumption and it disregards people who don't regularly play Nurse and must learn against a high skill curve.
