I wanna share my Cenobite changes :)

Hello there ! The reason why I made this post was to give my ideas on how to improve Pinhead’s weaker add-ons and address his broken add-ons along with making him less annoying to go against when it comes to using the Lament Configuration during a Chain Hunt. I accept all criticism 😄 and btw this was mainly made for funsies and some or 1-2 of these changes are from PixelBush but I edited the numbers.

Voice Lines

• Whenever he hooks a survivor he will always either say “I will tear your soul apart!” or “I must be going now.”

• When picking up a survivor he now will always say “Now you must come with me.”

Lament Configuration

• Solve time increased to 7 seconds up from its original 6 seconds

• If you are solving the box, you will no longer have chains coming at you during a Chain Hunt unless it’s a Possessed Chain from The Cenobite himself (you will start being targeted by chains if you let go however).

Iridescent Lament Configuration

• While a Chain Hunt is inactive, Survivors beyond 16 meters of the Lament Configuration cannot see its aura (originally 24 meters).

Engineers Fang

• This add-on proved to be too powerful, so I wanna give it a rework to hopefully make it less annoying and cheap to use.

• Whenever The Cenobite uses the Lament Configuration himself, all survivors suffer from the Exposed status effect for 45 seconds

Original Pain

• Having a survivor suffer from the Deep Wound status effect was too weak and felt in-rewarding as a purple add-on, so I wanna give it a rework.

• Whenever a Survivor breaks free from the targeted chains, The Cenobite now gains a bonus speed boost of +0.2 (4.6 movement speed to 4.8) for 4 seconds.

Torture Pillar

Reduces Chain Hunt Activation time by -8 seconds (up from its original -6s)

    VO - Good. Why not. But I would be carefull to not make it overhelming (spam too offten).

    Lament Change - No. Garbage. You could hold hostage the cube forever, no punish for it, Cenobite would be ALWAYS forced to tunnel the guy with a cube. Terrible idea. Might as well remove the cube at this point.

    I think his addons are mostly fine and not need changing (expect buff back the time addons for chainhunt to start, they are worthless almost nowdays).

    for lament, i meant that it would only stop all chains when they were solving it, not actually if they were solving it. this was actually a draft so i thought i changed it, sorry !

    No to the Lament Configuration change. The ENTIRE POINT is the person carrying it is supposed to suffer difficulties.

    Engineer's Fang should just get a distance requirement slapped on it. Giving a reward for long-range shots is good. Your suggested idea would be pretty useless for the most part unless he used it right beside someone nearby.

    Not sure how I feel about Haste. Speed boosts are a super delicate thing to work with because even slight changes can be busted.

    i changed the lament one. but for engineers fang i thought of having it at 20 seconds at most? i decreased it to 18 because a good cenobite would usually be able to find the box and then quickly be able to find a survivor so i’ll increase it to 20 at most

    Only thing I disagree with is Engineer's Fang being too powerful. It's current downside of only spawning 2 additional chains outweighs it's upside. Injuring a Survivor with a Possesed Chain, especially when they're far away or you're not going to focus on them after the injury, is useless when CoH is meta. Engineer's Fang encourages 'Hit N Run', CoH punishes 'Hit N Run'

    Pinhead needs buffs to his basekit, he's by far the most perk/add-on reliant killer in the game.

    For solving the lamant configuration without getting chained you just need to time it right.

    The chains always spawn in sets of 3 and will spawn a new one when it's broken by the enviroment.

    So just dodge 3 chains and then you can solve the cube without any interruptions baring pinhead himself

    I would legitimately just make his Iridescent Lament Configuration base-kit.

    He really doesn't have a power at the moment.

    i agree with you there, i just re-added a buff to his lament where the solve time is increased to 7 seconds

    For the VO could you imagine listening to the same lines in 8 or more hook games? I couldn't.
