Stretched Res is ######### fixed in the PTB!!!

I know the quality sucks ass cuz my phone is not good but you can see on the buttom left the player icons, his screen is basicly matched now with this stretch so he has now a half screen, the top and buttom is now blackened out. THANK GOD BHVR YOU FINALLY DID A GREAT ######### JOB! THANKS FOR THAT!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
if it's fully effective and there's no way to work around it, noice
I'm on console so never really understood what's the problem with stretch res?
People have been using stretched res to be able to see over obstacles they should be able to see over. So you can see the killer over a low wall for instance.
Allows you to look over loops and objects with ease. Compared to base where it’d be barely look over and not give much. Ghostface got hurt by this the most. For killer same general thing especially with Nurse. It was disgusting
Against killers like ghostface you can be revealed without people being in your FOV, survivors can see from behind certain walls like most of azarov's LT's and jungle gyms.
Free shadowborn, looks horrible most of the time, people say that they do it for performance but if they really need that "boost" on fps they shouldn't even be playing with a PC that....... Bad....
Now add filters + stretch res, survivors can see you from almost half the map away (yes I've tried it but hated it) only stayed with filters to make scratch marks slightly more visible.
So I'll be able to enjoy Ghostface without worrying about getting revealed from cheaters.
they finally ticked the "preserve aspect ratio" check box in unreal
I can't imagine the manpower and time+money resources that took!
this is not even funny honestly, camera aspect ratio lock is like the most basic function that every game engine has to have
I find it better to laugh off bad situations than to make a tragedy out of them. It's healthier for the mind.
If its true that's a very good news.
I get that, it's just so disappointing honestly
I wonder how exactly did they code perk tiers if they say removing them is so hard
It's probably not removing those per se, it's more like what happens to already existing bloodwebs and different tiers.
Still can't imagine is THAT hard for such a big company with such a big game.
R.I.P DbD tournament scene
/s
i mean why would they make a system that relies on another system in this particular case, bloodweb should just make perks "purchasable" not dictate whetever you can or cannot remove tiers as a developer because both systems are directly tied to work with each other
What?! I can play Ghostface now, 👍 devs
Its what I’ve always wanted <3
I play stretched in every game so them doing this bandaid fix with black bars is horrible. Why not actually fix the extra fov instead of implementing a "fix" that's so lazy. This is the only game I've played where stretch benefits you instead of you losing out on fov why.
then dont stretch it simeple as that
So I switch up my res completely for one game? Sounds stupid and not practical.
lmfaooo I can't wait to check in on the killer streams of a few guys I've gone against recently that were stretched to ridiculous proportions. Why you streaming pub matches with every survivor looking like Wide Myers? Very pleased about this change :)
You're a cheater. Stop cheating and play the game with a normal screen.
You took in the work to stretch every game when you started playing them and you took about practical?
So they’re lazy for finding a fix for those who abuse stretched res, but it’s too much effort for you to change your res when you play dbd? Interesting. And really - it isn’t lazy on their part, if so many didn’t abuse it, you included, it wouldn’t be an issue they needed to fix.
< can't delete posts >
Now watch the people who defended it and said it was totally not for an advantage/to cheat, suddenly switch to normal res.
we already get ppl like those which is just sad.
I still love the argument of "FPS increase", always a good one to read or see xD
niceeee
They still haven't checked "disable ALT-ENTER" though ... (and that one is really a check-box)
