Half might be overkill, but it definitely needs a noticeable reduction.
The better way would be to turn a lot of those pallets into mindgameable ones, then the number of pallets wouldn't be a problem. But that would probably require way too much of the map to be redesigned.
25% they need to remove 6 or 7 pallets from this map. The room above the bathroom doesn't not need 2 safe pallets in the same room and there should not be 2 god pallets right next to the basement.
they shouldnt just straight up get rid of the pallets they should change them for windows so that there is actual skill that goes into looping
Change them into windows that aren't nearly as safe
Actually I don't mind the two pallets near the basement, because it's the basement.
But it definitely needs a reduction in pallets, that I agree on.
There's 25 pallets in total on The Game. There's not a single map that's even close to that amount.
And most of the pallets are unbelievably strong.
I hate it both as survivor and killer, because the chases can last forever
The reason the Game has so many pallets is because it has very few Window vaults. that's the Design.
So if you guys want most pallets to be more unsafe, the Kill rate is gonna sky rocket due to the design.
Now I dislike kicking pallets as much as the next guy, but Im fine with it being just the Game.
Actually, I believe Eyrie of Crows comes very close. Which is beyond sad because that map is also way bigger. It wouldn't be a problem if a majority of those pallets were mindgameable, but also no. Eyrie of Crows is one of the worst map designs in this game, I personally find it worse than the Game. On par with Cowshed, which probably also spawns a similar amount of safe pallets.
They don't even need to remove that many, just place them where there is the ability to mindgame them in any way shape or form.
Every pallet at the moment is big ass wall on one side, big ass wall on the other side, and a guarantee that the killer has to break every one like a chump or give up every chase.
Half is too much but there are way too many safe pallets.
Eyrie spawns 14-15 pallets (legit went to custom multiple times to count) . It's less than some Azarov maps :D
Wow ok, I am positive it has spawned more for me often enough. But I am sure there is some rng involved, so sometimes it might have just felt like it was more, probably because pretty much every pallet except for a handful are completely safe.
I still enjoy the game map more than Eyrie as killer though, even though both are bad.
