How would you buff the Pig?

As it stands, the Pig is currently one of the worst killers in the game, and is in dire need of major changes, especially since the introduction of the Endgame Collapse where they gutted her for it's sake. I feel like they should take focus off of the traps, reduce their lethality, and give the poor piggy a real tool for getting downs in chases, along with making her stealth actually viable to use. It would also be nice to see them expand on her trap capabilities, being able to trap generators, or maybe even pallets or windows, making the trial her own version of "The Game". I'm just throwing out ideas, but I just want Piggy to be at least a decent killer.

    I'm happy with the recent changes to her traps, and I don't think she needs an expansion there, but her crouched movement speed needs to improve to maybe 105% as well as her crouching and uncrouching speed; in its current state, it's just needlessly clunky and makes her stealth unpleasant to use. I'd also like to see Ambush buffed into an actual anti-loop tool with more usage than 50/50 shots at very short pallet loops. I'd accept a longer charge time if the dash was a bit longer. Or they could buff it in a different way by changing when the roar plays so she doesn't announce what she's doing so early on that her Ambush is worthless as the thing it's named for - as it is, Pigs who want stealth hits just uncrouch and M1.

    I'd also like if they could reintroduce RBTs being automatically active after the last gen but before the endgame collapse starts - or just after the last gen period, but with the caveat that the endgame collapse timer is paused as long as there's an active trap.

    The recent traps were a nice rework and buff to her higher level play as it made her more consistent instead of fully random.


    The only thing I would ever touch is the speed of her crouch or ambush.

    Increase Crouch Movement speed by 5% and increase the duration of Ambush Attack by like .2 - .25 seconds. Both on base kit.


    She just needs number Tweaks to her abilities. Her crouch movement speed is so slow that you’re better off just running otherwise gens will get done quickly.

    Pigs main issue is that her crouch and ambush are complete trash. Even with both addons being used to improve her ambush it's still barely even usable in most cases, that's how bad it is. 99% of the time you are better off just uncrouching and going for the m1, that shouldn't be the case.

    -Move the roar to the very end of her ambush charge

    -Charges significantly faster

    -Charge move speed is significantly faster

    -Remove the sheathing sound on crouching, it ruins the surprise and the survivor just leaves the loop as soon as they hear you

    -Increase her crouch move speed

    -Rule set #2 base kit

    On some maps, its very nice tho.

    Best Ambush-Map in the game: Midwich. So many Pallets which u can use ambush and it hits 99% of the time for me.

    RPD and Lerys are good Ambush-Maps too.

    But yea, the crouch movement-speed is an issue, even with Johns Medical File its only 96/97%. With the medical file, you should have 110, without 95.

    You should watch CMWinters "God-Tier-Ambush" Series on youtube to know which are guaranteed ambush-hits.

    Make Ambush worth use on loops. Needs to crouch faster and charge faster or increase the speed / distance you can travel with it. Make her move faster while she is crouched so she can use it to sneak around the map more.

    Why reduce the lethality of the RBT? It's not like that is stifling the devs' ability to buff her.

    I think the biggest sticking point with her atm is her ambush attack just being bad on everything but the most unsafe pallets. It's an anti-loop tool that is bad on loops (and also gets rekt by pre-dropping the pallet). It's clunky, it wastes time if you screw it up, and no matter how galaxy brain your read is, it is still completely dependent on you guessing and hoping the Survivor at the loop makes a mistake.

    Also, un-nerf her end game pls.

    This isn't a buff exactly, but I think survivors should be able to instantly remove a bear trap in exchange for a hook state.

    The Pig herself isn't that weak in her powers, she's only "weak" because she's one of the non-teleporting, non-sprinting killers.

    Pig, along with every other regular speed killer, would be sufficiently buffed if maps sizes were reduced and made a little more uniform in size.

    I love this idea and it would play well with the whole "I want to play a game" shtick, as a survivor you have a choice to make. However, this would be much more effective if there was some way of making traps threatening during the endgame. As it stands, traps are less than useless once the final gen is repaired and the gates are powered, which is likely where survivors will choose to gamble with their hook states in order to remove traps. Perhaps 'opening an exit gate' should also activate a trap in the same way as repairing a gen, or at the very least, give the Pig an add on that has that effect.

    I actually get a lot of hits with Ambush from stealth, it’s a little underrated. But I wouldn’t mind it if the roar happened during the Ambush charge and not before it.

    As a Pig player, I'm happy with the RNG change with her traps, as I consider that a substantial buff to her slowdown capabilities in a match now.

    The weaknesses that I'd like to see addressed really only deal with her lack of chase lethality. There have already been suggestions about removing (or delaying) her roar when Ambush attacking, fixing her crouch time or movement speed when crouching, shortening the charge time for it, or lengthening the distance you travel during it -- any or all of those would be welcome help for her. I land a decent number of Ambush attacks at loops, but therw are far too many loops spread across the maps where it's impossible, no matter which way you try to attack the survivor at the loops, for the Ambush to land due to the size of those loops -- having some buff to her Ambush would address that.

    I don't think some of the lower tier killer can really get any buffs. Not because I don't want them to but I just don't think they can really get much better with their current design.

    To me Trapper, Clown and Doctor are 3 killers who I think have good add-ons and can't really get their basekit buffed anymore. I think unless they are completely changed, nothing will ever truely make them strong.

    My solution is for something the killer can interact with in the 4 corners of each map, maybe a glyph. Standing at any of the 4 glyphs will allow the killer to teleport to 1 of the other 3 glyphs on the map after a short interaction. Have this glyph be something only certain killers can use.

    For me this will help the lower tier killers gain map pressure that most of them don't have.

    I don't agree with that because Pig still struggles in maps that aren't gargantuan. The (only) issue isn't sheer map size; it's (also) that the tool that is supposed to make her not just a vanilla M1 killer (the ambush) isn't actually good at its job.

    She has an anti loop power, which isn't ineffective. All an anti-loop power needs to do is beat the survivor to the pallet/window, and Ambush does that. You sit in the pallet, charge and dash, perhaps feigning one way or the other.

    It might not be the best anti-loop power, but with practice is does it's job, and in return for a slightly weaker power, she has additional slow down (traps) that help with her lack of map pressure.

    In every game against Pig, I've never felt she was a weak killer. She inevitably gets a couple of kills, even though Pig players seem to inexplicably decide to tunnel the survivor with the trap on them, instead of letting the slowdown do it's job. If they actually let the traps work their magic they might do even better.

    You don't, common knowledge tells you that you just ever nerf her.

    That aside, its kinda bitter that her last nerf stemmed from people "rofl lol memeing" her afk build, that they saw with some streamer. 90% of the afk crowd were no pig mains bur just people abusing this mechanic, and this thing got rightly nerfed, but eh... by now it's really rediculous how often she got hammered.

    Ambush absolutely does not beat them to the pallet/window. They drop that pallet or cross that window, and the ambush struggles HARD.

    That's not the way the Ambush is effective, when it is. When a survivor runs to a loop, the Pig has to position themselves in the pallet to work the attack properly. Three things happen: The Pig dashes, makes a correct read on what way the survivor is moving, and lands the hit (on very small loops, it doesn't matter -- the attack will land anyway), the survivor makes the right guess on what way the Pig is dashing, and the dash comes up short, or the survivor holds W and runs from the loop when hearing the roar (which is why changing the Roar would go a long way to helping a Pig combat that). As it stands, much like a Nurse player tries to remember how each survivor plays against their blinks, a Pig player has to remember if a survivor does the latter -- if they do once, then if they're put into that position again, The Pig should fake the attack, forcing the survivor to run from the safe tile and into an open area, where then they can land an attack.

    Slight tweaks to her crouching time, eliminating the telegraphing roar, increasing the length of the dash or the speed she dashes at, or all of the above would fix her Ambush problems at the largest of loops (making those loops unsafe if the survivor plays it improperly, or countering the abililty to simply run in a straight line away the moment they knew an Ambush was coming).

    If a survivor pre-drops pallets against a Pig before they get there, there's nothing the Pig can do -- but almost every basic M1 killer has the same issue.

    It bears constant repeating, but the recent change to the number of boxes and the change to her RNG in this last patch was NOT a nerf, and Pig players who've played her religiously will tell you that. If you're getting 4 traps on in a match, you're seeing far more slowdown than ever before, since you're not getting matches where everyone's party hat is coming off first try. Head pops are still going to occur as well, since inevitably someone is staring at a 4-box search more than likely.

    The irony of the change is that the Video Tape add-on -- which caused all of this -- is that much more effective (especially if paired with the Rules Set add-on). That's tremendous early-game slowdown that the Pig normally doesn't have (unless you have a team that has a wild-card survivor who jumps on a gen and finishes it immediately, trap or no, and that can be even more deadly with the new RNG in place). If you're getting someone downed and hooked early in those matches, then that early-game slowdown transitions into mid-game slowdown as well.

    Let's say the Pig does make it to the pallet. They crouch, they have the option to fire up a charge or to fake a charge. Here's the thing: Pig has to make the first move. Pig has to present their choice. And the ambush roar telegraphs that choice. The Survivor makes their choice in response, and whether or not the Pig lands the hit depends on whether the Survivor makes the right choice. The Pig can never capitalize on a mistake with an ambush. The Pig has to present the opporunity for the Survivor to make the mistake. That's why Pig's ambush is lacking: The Survivor gets the say in whether the Ambush succeeds, not the Pig.

    No disagreement on that point here, which is why I said eliminating the roar (or delaying it until the Ambush is actually underway) would go a long way to improving the attack.

    Small, unsafe loops (think Midwich rooms, where, when the survivor may be backed up against the edge of the map with no means to run away) -- even with the roar, those attacks are going to land regardless. But to repeat what I said, I'm in favor of delaying the roar until you're already dashing -- that small change would make a world of difference.

    I think delaying the roar would certainly help. Idk if it would be the solution to Pig's ailments, but I would be all for it regardless.

    Absolutely.

    I try to use the Dash at pallet loops a lot. When I crouch (I'm not running add-ons for crouch speed normally -- it can be slow, and it could definitely use a buff), a LOT of survivors, even really good ones, freeze in place. The roar telegraphs what I'm doing, which is why changing it would be definitely help to her "main" power. There are very good survivors who bolt from the loop the minute I crouch, even before the roar, anticipating that the crouch means an Ambush Dash is coming, but that's simply good counterplay on their part and nothing a change to Pig's kit would help (and something I need to remember if I get them in the same situation later in the match).

    I would make tampered timer base kit. Also, if other survivors do a gen while someone’s trap is active, 10 seconds are removed from the timer.


    Also a total rework to ambush but I have no idea how or what
