Why are killer queues SO bad lately

Honestly, it wouldn't shock me if there was some DBD Fatigue from the players, especially that first week when you see the BP levels drop back down to normal levels and you realize just how little you get every game.
I have no idea if that's the issue but I know my amount of playing significantly dropped once the event was done with.
I guess all the survivors are quitting the game /s

Might just be you my queues are 1 to 5 minutes on average.
They used to be instant for me, but lately it's been taking up to TWO WHOLE MINUTES!
It may not sound long, but for me it's like an eternity.
I've noticed it as well. My survivor queues are instant (even at night). Maybe survivors are quitting or switching to killer, especially since the upcoming changes will hurt survivor. Who knows.
depends what region your in tho in oce and i think there is just a lower population in general then something like eu or na
yeah but i play crossplay on and most people go back to live after like 1 day anyways
maybe but even during the event it has been long queues for whatever reason
I really wouldn't be surprised if some survivor players have actually already stopped playing the game due to survivors getting so little baseline buffs against camping and tunneling in the upcoming update. Not to mention the update actually buffing camping.
Yep, I wouldn't be surprised at all. I'm sticking around until the update goes live, then I'm out if very little changes from the PTB.
There's no way you're trying to tell me that a 5second basekit BT isn't the perfectly solution to tunneling against killers who have been, for the past x years waiting out 12 seconds of bt + 60 seconds of ds just to tunnel.
I can only speak for myself but most of the time my day on the game starts like this.
1. Start with survivor, get camped to death first game.
2. Try a second game as survivor, killer walks all the way across the map. Teammates still leave me on the hook until death.
3. Try survivor again, run the killer for what seems like forever, get hooked, and all three teammates are crouched around the map, no gens done.
4. Get aggravated and DC during third game. Wait out the time and just swap to killer for a bit.
5. Some nights I'll Play with my brother for a bit. Whether we live or die at least we know we'll try to get each other off hooks and such.
I use to get instant survivor queues in the early day and then instant killer queues in the evening. Now my killer queues are getting long enough that I don't want to play that role either.
This is just my experience of why queue times might be longer. For some people and at certain times it may be reversed.
If the update helps with any of this I won't care how long gens take or if I lose every game. Just so long as I don't spend every game just sitting on the hook.

Yeah I agree. I haven't played in days, just not feeling it. After earning such good bp over the past few weeks, the regular earnings feel like peanuts and I can't be bothered tbh
I was curious how long BHVR could get away with CONSTANTLY buffing one side and nerfing the other side. Everything "fun" being gutted. Survivor is not worth it anymore.
There is too many killers in EU. If I have to wait 2 and more minutes for a match, might just play a different game for few months again

I will stop play survivor for sure. And i am already not playing survivor so much anyway. They are buffing camping, nerfing anti-tunnel perk and nothing for solo survivors. Good luck for their queues.
Well, maybe a few more peeps started to try out killers after a smol brush with the idea during the PTB. As much as I enjoy my short 15s max killer ques in the evening, I am happy for every new masochist whom we can welcome into the fold.

I do think you should discuss the stupid nerf to DS. I can agree that the devs were on something special when they did that.

With the way things are, I guess it isn't a surprise that this problem back.

I noticed this too I used to find match instantly as killer but now it takes more than 2 minutes but as survivor I find match immediatelly.
It would just be satisfying to see crybabies from whatever side getting what they want, only for them then realizing that they destroyed what they loved by being arrogant/entitled/greedy. Goes for either side and they loud screamers here on the forum.
Kinda like the tale of Midas, want more and more gold until it kills him.
Edit: Also let me scream at the brick wall (that the people on these forums are) again that time of day,region, platform and cross play status are important to make queue time discussions comparable and not halfway worthless.

When I saw the update I thought to myself ''lets play alot before the update goes live''. I played 1 round this week and I was done.
Killrates are above 50%, meanwhile the devs stated in the update that they want the killrates higher, so the killer feels more ''scary''.
They don't understand their own game after 5 years, I'm out.
I know I won't be missed but I must say I've been enjoying my time 10times as much playing other games the past week.
I think it's something regional. My killer qeues are awful in the morning but good during the night and visceversa with survivors.
I wouldn’t say it’s worthless but it does make a difference and people should be including that information when discussing this subject.
My guess is because of the PTB or maybe survivors are quitting/ switching to killer cause of the upcoming update.
