Ideas to rework Play with your Food?

Obsession perks have the feel making the obsession not fear you, they could chase you and taunt you and that's not how it should be, killer scared of the survivor? I have ideas of how PWYF should be reworked, but what would make you think how it should be changed? I feel it should be this: you get a 5% boost for every time you hook the obsession, but you lose all the tokens upon their death, what do you think?

That... As a killer I would love that. But as a survivor or a player :dizzy:

Maybe something else, but I personally would love something like this.

So that's 10% after 2 hooks, 15% on their 3rd hook, the death hook, and then back to 0% after the 10-second animation of them being sacrificed?
    That's a bit odd.

I also thought that the let them escape chase would work, but you shouldn't lose tokens for every offensive action, maybe only against the obsession? Or at least lose all of them for every missed attack, regardless of who it is.

Letting the Obsession escape is the current way to get Tokens, which, if done as an intended action, is VERY friendly of them, even if they don't intend as it to be a friendly gesture.
What's not friendly is hitting them.
But since you can only gain Tokens from the Obsession by being friendly, i think it's more than fair to also only lose Tokens when being unfriendly towards the Obsession.
I mean, it would incentivize you to NOT tunnel that specific person.
And boy, do Survivors often state on these forums they don't like being tunneled.

Plus this Perk just needs that kind of a buff in general: The percentages are too low to be useful all the time and getting them is quite a chore except for a few select Killer.
But if you were to buff the percentages by a not-useless amount, then it'd be VERY good on those few select Killers, resulting in complaints about the combination of the Perk and the Killer.

In short, i'd like to see Play With Your Food only lose Tokens from aggressive actions towards the Obsession.

Here's an idea I've had for a while. It's actually a really simple change that wouldn't require much time or effort to implement. But basically, all you do is increase the amount of max tokens from 3 to 15, and the amount of tokens gained from 1 to 5. Each token is a 1% speed boost instead of the 5% it has now, and you only lose one when you hit somebody. This way, you still earn it the same way as before, and in the same basic amount, but it doesn't evaporate immediately, since you have a lot more tokens to burn through. Letting your obsession get away three times is a lot of effort for the tokens to just go away after three hits, so slowly burning through a good chunk seems fair enough in comparison.

Very good idea. I hate just chewing up my tokens. If I'm going to use time to get these tokens, I should get at least that same time back using them to my advantage.

Every time you hit your Obsession, get a token to a maximum of 5 tokens. for each token, your movement speed gets increased by 2/3/4%. Each time you hook your Obsession, you lose 5/4/3 tokens.
    only one obsession per trial.

    this one could also work:
Every time you let your Obsession get away, gain a token to a maximum of 3 tokens. for each token your movement speed gets increased by 3/4/5%. each offensive action performed against your obsession consumes 3/2/1 token(s).

There's another thread about this and I had an idea.

Gain a token up to a max of 3 tokens after losing a chase to your Obsession, each token is a 5% boost in speed. Pressing the active ability button grants this speed for 5/10/15 seconds. So you can get a max of 15% more speed and choose to eventually get all 3 or just get 1 but the whole point is you can choose when to use it. The speed is to win chases anyway so you'd use these in the endgame or if someone is giving youa hard time.
