Personally I think he's weak, being as how he is still easily popped out of his power. I'd say he's lowish mid tier.

At high ranks? At least on Xbox, he's low tier. Basically no power if the Survivor's have comms. At lower ranks? He's really good.

Ok that's good to know at least he's at high mid tier

Furtive chase is situational, helps you in chases though. Thrilling Tremors is really good, and I'm all ears is only good with killers like Nurse.

Be prepared to learn the hard way, don’t be discouraged by being broken out easy the first few times you play. He’s a pretty good killer and I honestly don’t understand why people say one way or the other that Myers is better than ghostface or vice versa, I think they’re pretty even, they just have different uses. Ghostface does better in 1 v 1 situations or 1 v 2 if you get really good with marking, where as Myers is better at crowd control and pressuring an area. So definitely upper mid tier, level with Myers to me. (I main them both now and the one better than the other mentality is kinda...ugh, I think same tier but different applications/strengths)

Lean as much as you can, it protects you from being broken out and lets you stalk crazy fast, get used to avoiding the directional reveals (arrows) by crouching behind taller LoS blockers, short ones will do no good and try to avoid early because the reveal can be a little bugged.

If there are SWF addicted to breaking your shroud, you can use your shroud for chases and stalk as a secondary thing, he’s still decent even without stalking sometimes but often it’s better to stalk them, drop the chase, find a new target and down the first guy later. REMEMBER THAT STABBING OF ANY KIND DESTROYS STALK PROGRESS I.e. if you stalk to 99% then stab them normally you WILL lose all that progress so be careful and mindful of your mark progress and weigh up if you can A. Finish the stalk when your power returns or B. Down them normally in a reasonable time.

Best addons are definitely cooldown (chewed pen, Olsen’s address book), this allows you to use your stealth to not only mark but sneak up on people healing or to shorten a loop because people panic when they can’t see or hear you and make mistakes much more in my experience using it mid chase. You’ll find other favourite addons by experimenting, some like the lenses, I like crouching addons, find what works for you.

In terms of build discordance is nice for multiple marks/easy stalking especially early game (paired with PGTW lets you know which gens likely need regressing) Nurses is also a solid choice as you can enter stealth and sneak up on groups healing.

In any case he struggles against SWF squads a little harder than some killers but overall a fun killer and very rewarding when you chain multiple marks and decimate a team. Just takes a bit of practice and tough matches first.

Turned into an essay but felt my opinion has changed a lot over the course of actually getting better playing him, still buggy with reveals and killer instinct but far, far from weak when played well (coordinated hit squads just make it a bit tougher)

I've been playing as him trying to rank up and get all the perks I want for him for the past 3 weeks, and I can tell you that in my experience (especially being a Myers main), that Ghostface is actually pretty good, not as good as Myers, but he's certainly not weak. You'll get used to being broken out of your power, but the upside is you get an indicator of where the spotter was, so it's no big deal really. I never bother squatting down or leaning around corners as I find it a bit too situational, and frankly unnecessary, especially since you have zero terror radius and no red stain while standing stalk. His perks are honestly not very good, so I didn't even bother using them, instead making my own unique Scream film inspired build.

Ultimately, I'd say he is pretty good, and you can definitely get 4 kills from time to time, and his devil outfit is cool, mainly because it's the closest to the Scream film robe when worn with the white mask and default Buck 120 knife. Plus, considering the slightly lower dlc price, it's not a bad buy in my book. I will say this though, a large amount of your enjoyment will depend on how much a fan you are of the Scream films and the Ghostface character in general. For me, I've always been a huge fan, so I had to have it.

Thrilling Tremors is actually really good, basically meta level. Top 10 I'd say. It's like a half breed between BBQ and Ruin, and can help you apply map pressure really well. It's especially effective when combined with Pop.

He's a perfectly fine killer. Using his power for mind games is really nice. Solid killer imo

He is a really fun killer to play as, stalking and revealing may be a bit inconsistent at times tho, so i would recommend practicing with him during rank reset.

As for his perks, here is what i have to say about them

Im all ears: Really useful perk overall, a bit underrated IMO, killers like nurse and especially piggy really benefit from it.

Thrilling tremors: Good perk with a lot of wasted potential, could have a shorter recovery time or longer duration but i personally think its great despite that, almost every killer can benefit from it, its a must on billy and nurse

Furtive chase: Dumb perk that can be extremely fun when combined with other perks, I recommend using it alongside rancor or remember me.

He is in the middle really. Very easy to loop him, but his power helps from time to time. He is also small and isn't slower, both very good characteristics.

Around Myers power level, a tad lower.

His problem is how finnicky his power is, that's why I don't play him.

Sometimes he can't be revealed at all, sometimes you're hiding and you get revealed.

I don't like him because he's inconsistent, but he ain't weak. Not when compared to most killers at least.

High mid along with Freddy, Myers and Plague imo. Def weaker than Freddy, around the same as the rest.

It's stupid they got rid of the splinters for killers. Now you can't know if you like the killer or not, so you waste money on it while you don't like it.

He is incredible when he stalks while being hidden, a few meters from his prey. As a survivor I have memorable memories of well-deserved punishment.

Probably not easy to master, but can be very violent and very scary.

Same lineage as Myers, I enjoy playing against these killers. He is more "all or nothing" than Myers.

Long story short: Loser Face™ is meme tier. His power is completely in the survivors' hands, and everything he can do, Myers can do it a million times better. He's almost as bad as the Legion.

  • MarcusMarcus Member Posts: 2,047

He is mid tier. He has a skill cap and can do work, but he is really weak against SWF teams, especially the ones with Object of Obsession, that perk makes Ghost Face completely useless. Also, his cooldown is really long, playing Ghost Face without cooldown add-ons is pretty painful, so I suggest to use these, you really need them. I don't think he is better than Myers, I actually don't think he is better even than Pig and Pig was nerfed 2 times already, so that says everything.

About his perks : Thrilling Tremors is decent, especially on killers like Freddy or Prayer Beads Spirit. I'm All Ears is only really worth using on Nurse and maybe Spirit and Huntress as well. And Furtive Chase is completely garbage.

Not as good as Myers but you can play him like a better Wraith or just hit people into exposed, he has little to no loop potential.

He's the second best M1 Killer in the game. Don't listen to anyone who says he's weak; anyone who thinks he can't be stealthy just haven't learned that his sneaking actually has a skill cap. Not only does he have the ability to quickly put you on a 1-hit down, but he's also the best ambush Killer in the entire game and his lack of a red stain is an amazing mindgame tool—hell, even when he's busted out of his stealth, his crouch has very useful mindgame utility.

Anyone who says he's better than Myers is utterly kidding themselves. Myers has an okay snowball and faster vaults. Faceghost has mindgames, faster stalking, 115% speed at the start of the match, better consistency, a lean button, and a crouch button. He's better than Myers in almost every aspect.

I haven’t played him yet, but he does look fun to play, I do however plan on playing him when he comes out on mobile.

He looks and seems like any normal killer, if you manage to get a stalk off you won’t end up getting looped. Might be my second main when I come back to this dumpster fire of a game.
