Make all totems look the same regardless if they are hex or not!

Tru3Ta1ent suggests this, and I think it is a brilliant idea.

Remove the lit totem mechanic. Make all totems look the same, hex or not. This encourages players to remove any totem they see, in the hopes that it is one they want to get rid of. This helps extend the game slightly, and helps balance totem play in general. Players will still get points for cleansing a totem that has an active hex effect.

Yes, and teabagging should cause exhaustion :)

This helps killers to get a couple extra hooks even before the game starts...

    Talking about balance...

Dude dont rely on totems, good killers never use them.

They might be worthless vs good survs, but the lit ones at least help casuals so they now its the right one.

They really just need better hiding spots is all, there quite a lot of crappy ones that could easily be made better.

The ones inside crevices, or ones that hide in holes in walls that only the hex can fit in are the strongest ones, as you can't find it just by walking past it and not paying attention.

A base rule should be it shouldn't be able to be spotted from a generator position. Most people move their camera around to be wary of the killer. If i turn my camera and suddenly, oh look, a hex, its a pretty bad spot.

They are randomly placed, even if you put them far from gens they will still be found no matter what, killers shouldnt rely on ruin or those totem based perks.

Most times lit totems are hidden in the cornfields and outside shacks, those little hills, between trash cans, experimented players will found them as I said before.

I don't think this is the way because I don't think game mechanics, perks, or skill should be based around RNG.

Tru3Ta1ent suggested this? Well then throw it in, he is completely unbiased!

you haven't played very many matches in The Game, then. The amount of time to find the hex totem in a map like this in comparison to other maps makes a huge difference.

In case you were unaware, if the totem location isn't in plain sight, you have to go out of your way to search it, instead of just coming across it. that takes time, while the killer is out killing.

your response is the equivalent of saying it doesn't matter whether or not survivor's make scratchmarks or not, as the killer is going to find them anyways.

Hex's are supposed to be risk-reward. If there is no risk, then the totems powers have to be nerfed.

Besides, they're lit for gameplay clarity. same as how killers can see the health of every survivor, for gameplay clarity. I'm sure you would not be happy at all if you no longer could keep tabs of a survivor's condition, right?

The Game is an unique map and the worst case scenario, so I wouldnt change the whole game for a terrible map that has no business in the actual game, unless it uses more windows like the doctor´s map its turrible.

So if you are good it doesnt matter where they are, I dont get your point, hex´s are risk-reward, a killer is using them to buy some time to hook players but if someone finds the totem there is no more reward, it could be soon, late in the game or never.

I dont know why the hell a killer can see survs´ condition, but it doesnt matter, survs can see lit totems, quid pro quo.

Lol, then maybe don't play the game? 90% is basically RNG

So basically give all Spirit's who haven't been leveled a free haunted grounds proc, and remove the ability to even guess if it's haunted ground because they all could be haunted ground?

Also, in my matches, doing totems(like actually trying to do them consistently any time you're around a gen) usually prolongs my games to the point of my death, or several other people's. If I'm not doing gens, then usually one person is on gens while the other is doing god knows what and the last one is being chased. If we make doing totems practically required, not many people are gonna get out in my games. Let's add to the fact killers would abuse this and basically put haunted ground on because they KNOW people would try to do all 5, NOED would never proc, and it'd be an endless struggle of what's meta, bringing hexes or not bringing hexes, because survivors would start doing them all the time until killers start bringing haunted grounds, then no one does them because of haunted grounds, etc etc. Either that, or people don't even worry about haunted grounds and just do them all regardless and NOED never triggers and hexes will be right back where they were before, just with longer games where survivors are just sitting still for most of the game.

Same most content creators on this game shouldn't be blindly listened to as they are usually wrong, biased or flawed in some way. But people still follow content creators anyways.

I personally think hexes should be nerfed to where they're reasonable and made non-hexes. Totems can stay for BP in the cases of things like Hillbilly or exposed users where chases don't last long.
