People are able to run out of the exit gates with the pig traps on their heads now and they haven't been going off after the 2.5 minutes anymore. Makes the traps a bit pointless. Is this a bug?
If the traps aren't active, survivors can escape with them on.
If the trap didn't start ticking they can escape without taking it off, which makes perfect [BAD WORD] sense apparently.
To be active, generators need to be being worked on, right? I can't figure it out. My pig capped out at level 50 and the traps are super helpful when they do work. But i have seen several people run out of the exits with traps on while the indicator is red but not beeping. I guess it's not a bug then.
It was changed due to the EGC.
If a trap isn't active before the last gen is done they can not activate.
It's to balance out it being overly strong due to the EGC implementation which makes sense as no power should make the timer have guaranteed kills.
The traps weren't designed to be an end game power but a way to slow the gens down. It was the players who adopted that strat to make her stronger. She needs some buffs after the change but I'd say more to her main power which is the stealth and ambush.
Yes, generators need to be completed to activate the Traps. Long-story short, Traps you put on a Survivor after the last Generator is completed will do nothing.

When you place a trap on, it is inactive. It does nothing.
When a generator is completed all currently inactive traps become active, and their 2:30 timer starts, at the end of which the survivors die.
Survivors with ACTIVE traps cannot leave through exit gates, survivors with INACTIVE traps can.
If the last generator has been powered, no traps placed after that will ever be active, all remaining charges of your power are basically worthless.
It was a big old middle finger to Pig that should never have happened, there are so many other options they could have taken, like pausing the EGC timer a long as a trap is active which would be WAY more lore appropriate.

Nope that's not true the pig could tunnel the [BAD WORD] out of you if the trap activated so it is balance.

(when im playing killer im pig main, adding that to make it clear) im using traps as they are meant to slow down game, surv cant do gen, he got 2nd objective to do (hey devs are looking for same thing for other killers in their opinion games are too fast "just add map pressure is too hard for some ppl")
tbh imo its 2 reasons why that change was made: bloodwarden, and noed. Before EGC so damn often pig saved her traps, noed pops and hail mary noed into 2 traps which often lead to 2 kills. And bloodwarden if you trap someone during EGC he wont leave in 1st half of EGC for sure, and most 4Head survs will stay and sandbag trapped surv instead of giving him hatch

What I mean is after the egc starts the survivor has 3 minutes to escape but if the trap is activated the survivor can't escape which means the pig can tunnel them till they die and the survivor won't have time to remove his trap while he is being chased and that would be kinda too op imagine pairing that with bloodwarden.

Instead, you'd run away using the Hatch, since if they're tunneling you, they're not going to be in a good position to close the Hatch.

Just pause the EGC timer then. Done. Ez. Pig nerf is undone without compromising the EGC.
What If the other survivors haven't left and the hatch is not open then you've got no chance of survival if the trap is activated
I think everyone should start with the traps on their head, make it really feel like a saw game hehe
"Instead, you'd run away using the Hatch, since if they're tunneling you, they're not going to be in a good position to close the Hatch." yea just pray to other survs (soloQ) to leave, but as i see as both surv and pig, survs dont leave xd most survs doesnt leave game and unintentionally are killing their teammate, and you wont tell all those 4Heads to leave, they are just sitting in exit gates and waiting for you to leave with them (die to timer or tunneled by pig while running around closed hatch)
That's a problem with derpy teammates, not with the Traps.
Her RBTs need to activated instantly instead of needing a generator to be completed. She's supposed to stall the game yet she needs to the game to progress just to make her RBT activate.
I don't feel pressured to take my RBT off because it really isn't scary. You can take it off even when it isn't activated (which make no sense lore wise and gameplay wise) and it's extremely easy to take off. The EGC nerf made them practically useless.
You say this like tunneling is a bad thing.
Because it simply is.
Prove that it isn't a valid strategy for eliminating one Survivor from the game, to create immediate pressure.
It's a valid strategy, but it's insanely unfun and unfair to the survivors you do this too. Just remember your not the only person in the match. If said person is tunneled and camped continuously why would they continue to play this game? So while a valid strategy it comes at the risk of losing a fellow player.
And why, exactly, should I care how much fun YOU have? Trust me, it's not losing players, that's absurd. The game has done nothing but grow. It's not my job to ensure fun. That's not a valid, in game reason. Any other arguments?
That is a valid point. If you can't tell the difference between multiplayer and singleplayer then you are just no better then the toxic people who complain. It would grow faster if people with your mentality would understand on the otherside is another person. Then again judging from your few post I have seen your probably not very skilled as killer.
It's fine; any people we lose to tunneling are outweighed by the Stranger Things fans we are getting. :P
Doubtful honestly. Even they will have to deal with this. I'm just hoping that it will be a week or 2 after rank reset so they will stay for awhile.
