Im pretty good to the point I can run a killer around for 4 gens before getting my first hook but then you know that pesky little thing called noed which recieved a uncalled buff and is now part of the meta, if I run into things like that and I'm rank 3 think about the baby survivors and how long they will last. I can meme too btw.
Do you have any idea how online gaming communities work? They dwindle over the years until they arrive/stagnate at a set number (depending on the game, of course) at which point the MAIN goal is to keep those people happy, interested and spending money. That isn't to say a side objective wouldn't be to attract new players. And DLC's related to pop culture are a great way of doing that. It keeps it interesting for old players at the same time as attracting new.
Edit: Luckily for DBD and other games I've played, bad balancing/a lack of regular balance changes doesn't generally end up adversely affecting the numbers as much as one would believe. It should, to force faster changes, but it doesn't.
Honestly, from the track record of OP, I won't even try to reason with him\her.
"There is a lot of thread being killer main complaining and shutting other people down. So I have to make survivor sided thread and shut down other people." This is not the way to go.
How do you expect to keep a fanbase of survivors around when the only thing they experience is 2 minutes of face camping, and if they do get unhooked immediate tunnel vision
Well here's the thing: That's not what they experience at all.
Of course i can't confirm this, but people bring up the bad SO much more than the good, which is a reasonable thing to do.
After all, the good is just having a normal match, and no one's gonna go to the forums and say: "Hey everyone, i just had a normal match."
Sure, some are more than likely going to be camped and/or tunneled, and every now and then, we'll see someone come in and saying they got camped to death 5 matches in a row.
But i believe most new players neither get camped/tunneled all that often, nor do i believe that they will be discouraged so easily.
Again, sure, if you look at negative reviews, there's probably some with just a few minutes or hours of playtime, complaining that it wasn't fun.
But then there's also the many others who still like it and don't care about writing reviews.
Lastly, keep a fanbase? It's been VERY consistent over these 3 years.
We haven't even gone under 10.000 players without things like the game's birth or Steam being offline.
Those other games are different teams of devs my dude and DBD is by far the largest source of income.... at least that would be my guess....if you're going to hang around with rank 10s or lower dont expect much from killers.... down there killers always gonna camp
Daily spin- able to win a random cosmetic piece, a one off Bloodpoint sum, limited xp bonus, 5 random add ons for each killer, 5 random add ons for each Survivor, next spin rewards double spin again.
I can complain about plently of things like how does the game still have bugs from 2 years ago, why can't I get a killer lobby under 5 minutes, blah blah the issue is the game, you can do the "its just you GIT GUD" rhetoric and blame survivors for why the game is they way it is. That is lazy killers complained about flashlights, DS, BT, vaulting, SB, Toolboxes, Pallet Vaccum, and etc. THOSE ISSUES GET ADDRESSED, but one issue that is camping what the devs do, "just work on a gen, it's not an issue deal with it GiT gUdZ" If you can legitmately prove my claim false (which you haven't) you can have all my cosemetics if that makes you happy. Dedicated was suppose to drop this summer never happened, watch it won't drop this year either.
I'm not even shutting anyone down, what I am doing is correcting people on their argument if you come in here with no proof and make bold claims, then guess what I'm gonna correct you.
Beginners do experience this otherwise I wouldn't hear the usual, OMG KILLERS JUST CAMP ME AND WON'T LEAVE!!! IM DONE WITH THIS GAME!! You can tell me all day that killers aren't camping but witnessing it all the time kinda stifle your argument.
As far as long time players they're just in a abusive relationship where they're always playing not to have fun but to continue to grow. Those are dedicated fans ya know the ones that's been around for years they can't just cut their ties to the game but new players can and very easily, If you put hours and money into this game you're not gonna just leave. Also the average is 20k not 10k.
It used to be 30k on average but that dropped drastically since May considering the game was actually growing.
Increase in speed, Lunge buff, Hooks literally right next to each other, totem placement buffs, noed buff(nobody asked for this), ruin buff, EGC, Hatch closing animation, let's not forget the buffs killers recieve that the devs omitted to it. Survivors got like what a buff to Deja Vu ohhhhh wow.
You clearly don't since you believe Overcharge and Lullaby is weak, killer perks have their usefulness you just might be too buns to get your build off.

Consistent is the goal here? Not growing? That's a low standard bud but as long as you got survivors to kill you could care less right?
Sounds like you don't know how to make a build, but who said I was complaining I was simply making an example. You have very decent baiting skills.

research my friend it goes a long way.
Funny how people talking in favor of survivors always start bringing up those crazy "killer buff claims" once they start losing their arguments.
I know how to make a build, otherwise I wouldn't claim Overcharge and Huntress Luallby to be so weak.

Trash tier meme. Doesn't fit the template, shameless advertisement and overall bad.
Overcharge has no potential. And your perk build includes Overwatch but not Pop goes the Weasel? lmao

Looks like the past 10 years of the WoW forums lol
"How do you expect to keep a fanbase of survivors around"
by releasing new chapters , dedicated servers, the rift 5head.
hardly anyone can properly facecamp anymore and true facecamping means you LITERALY cannot be saved.(which has been patched years ago)
what else are you gonna complain about?
It honestly looks like the issue is you
This, Stranger Things is a huge hit for Dead By Daylight! :)

Something to keep you coming back a little more.

Rank 3 and camping is still a thing.
20% maybe but 30% that's too much even for dbd.
