It's one of the best reworks of a perk you've ever done BHVR. I really love it!! It could be a new meta at high ranks with thana! And the best thing is that it doesn't encourage tunneling anymore. Really, good job!
I do, too. Great job.
I would still be patient about that. Everything can be changed though.
I love it so far, black box rancor freddy just got a new toy to play with. Rancor, STBFL, and dying light seems like a solid lineup on black box freddy, then pop on some BBQ or ruin or whatever floats your boat.
Wait so it basically works like: As long as your Obsession is alive you get Tokens for hooking a Survivor who isn't the Obsession, but it doesn't say that you lose your Tokens when the Obsession is dead but at the same time it says (when the Obsession is alive, Repair- Healing and Sabotage speed is reduced for people but not the Obsession.)
So, practically you lose your Tokens when the Obsession is dead which doesn't make sense because the Perk is called "Dying Light" which should be the Obsession. So the Perk works with an Obsession which is alive but not dead.
Can't believe they actually reworked it. Looks great.
The One Punch Freddy build? I used to run that on Old Freddy. STBFL, PWYF, M&A, and Rancor. Ignore obsession all game, one-punch-mori at the end.
I love that it has synergy with The Shapes other 2 perks now
Guys, you can only get token for everyone BUT the Obsession, so you can 2 hook 3 people and get a Max of 18% which is weaker than Thana. Sure the percentage is stronger when one of those people die but once someone is dead the match is already in your favor unless you suck. Debuff penalties are supposed to work during the match not at the end, this why the previous Dying Light was crap but not as bad.
Now if hooking the Obsession gave us a token then we could hook all 4 Survivors and then it would be ok becaus ewe could give them a huge debuff while everyone is still alive.
@HatCreature A survivor can be hooked 3x, not 2x.
If they get hooked the 3rd time they die, yeah you get a token but like I said in my post if someone is dead then the match is already in you favor and a debuff won't help as much. Basically it has become a weird version of Thana where you keep the penalty after death but that doesn't matter because they're dead.
I think Dying Light + Thanatophobia together have a lot of potential, but I could be wrong.
True, it is much easier to use together and I can't argue that. I was just hoping the perk could be used by istelf. If anything, this makes my Sadist Freddy build much more powerful than it is now.
The perk still has some problems. Now that it encourages you to keep the obsession alive, the healing speed buff should be removed. It only made sense before because you were encouraged to tunnel them, so a buff for the survivor was warranted.
Also, the debuff should still remain active when the obsession is killed (but can't gain anymore tokens), similar to how STBFL works.
I do agree on this the benefit of a 33% action increase for Dl doesn't really add up to the debuff the survivors get to gen speed.
Also the Obsession should be affected by the action speed penalty.
