The "Trusted" tag on nearly every thread is completely unnecessary clutter. Isn't it enough already to play favourites without filling the entire forum with it?
It's not jealousy is it?
Not in the slightest. Tags are usually meaningful, like whether a dev has had a say in something. Having rubbish like this is just counterintuitive.
That is a good point. I guess maybe their goal is like "hey, someone who isint going to just throw [BAD WORD] responded" but ultimately I agree with you.
That would mean something if it weren't on every single thread more than 1 page long.
The trusted pilot program started yesterday.
A few users have been handpicked and received a Trusted tag, we are building a program for members that are very involved in forums and that we trust will be helpful to new members and will share their opinions in a respectful way.
For now, the tags are shown on the posts. This program being a pilot, we will adjust in the future.
Very interesting idea
As Queen said, it is a new program, it will be more meaningful in the future but the program is still new. :)
There are some users with thousands of posts and no trusted tag. Those are the ones who are least afraid of saying what they think and not afraid of rocking the boat.
I hope those of you with the trusted tag will still be willing to call out bullshit.
At the moment 16/31 of the front page posts are tagged "trusted."
That isn't useful, that isn't contributing anything of value to the forums, if anything it'll only have new people confused why some threads AREN'T "trusted" as though they contain lies or something.
I want to see the trusted people call out bugs, bad game design, bad perks, underpowered killers, "legal" exploits, overpowered swf and to challenge the devs when they are wrong.
If you don't, you don't deserve the trusted tag.
So you want them to express your opinions instead of theirs?
Of course they will call out bugs and bad design, exploits and all that jazz, because they have been doing it this entire time.
Being a constructive and helpful member of the community is what that tag means.
No, I just want them to do more than defend everything. I have a lot of posts moaning about stuff, but I also have a lot of posts defending stuff.
I want the trusted users to be honest. If I see the trusted tag and that person is simply saying, "everything is fine" when the people who have no trusted tag are saying the opposite, I'm going to be suspicious that they are just protecting their trusted status.
I like the initiative and the thought behind it.
I do agree with OP though. As trusted members are so active, there’s a tag on almost every post, which in turn makes it hard to find the ones that may contain information from BHVR. It’s like finding a needle in a haystack. Even if the haystack is lovely.
ShrekIsHot with no Trusted tag? This is outrageous!
Like I’ve said, trusted will have more meaning in the future.
None of us are going to defend everything, we got here by stating our opinions in a civil and constructive manner.
