Rank Update Error still happens.
1 out of 20 matches will it not occur. I've read in the patch notes that there was some retry button implemented to try to fix this but there ain't anything. As soon as the error appears, you can't do anything but to click OK and then instantly get booted out to the log-in screen.
Fix this thing I can't get out of rank 17 and get more interesting games.

Please if it happens again and you are on PC, attach your dbd logs here.
1. Press Windows Key + R to bring up "Run".
2. Type this in the "Run" prompt: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Logs
3. The file called "DeadByDaylight.log" is your log file.
I have the same issue during my survivor rounds as well. It started happening with Stranger Things Chapter update. My logs can be found attached below. I hope you guys can sort this out because it is extremely annoying.
Its very frustrating. I think there are logs in there as well that made me error out and automatically closed the game by itself.

i dont think ill be able to play this game .. anymore with this bug just got it after the patch and it is way more annoying than the exit gate bug because you dpip and lose blood points .. which is so unfair please fix it devs

@jayzukri not every bug is easy to fix.
If you still had this error after the 3.2.1 patch and you are on pc, can you please give us your dbd logs after you encounter the issue?

Same problem, keep getting this until this new update
They do not even mention it in 'known issues' anymore. They release new hotfixes every week and do not say a word about this bug. I get that not everyone has it is but it is not a new bug. I have had it for MONTHS now.
After 3.2.1 I've sent my logs with a ticket, with this issue. My ticket was immediately closed with a response that said this issue is acknowledged in a dev diary, which also included a link to the said page.
The thing is; that diary simply said that a possible attempt at fixing the issue was gonna be introduced with the upcoming patch, where the aforementioned patch was already released. And after that, the issue simply disappeared from any Known Issue entries.
There is a great inconsistency about how this specific issue is handled by Behaviour. Mentioned issue acknowledgements are directed to outdated articles. The issue is not listed under current Known Issues. Tickets and logs are disregarded (at least in my experience), with a dismissive reply that says the issue is known.
I completely respect the fact that "some issues take longer to fix". But this issue was introduced with patch 3.0.0, which was the Ghostface chapter. Instead of rolling back the update, and attempting to fix the issue internally first, we were left to bear with the process. Our patience and compliance is evidently being taken advantage of, because an issue that appeared out of nowhere, on the third year of the game, is still not fixed after several months and numerous updates.
If the issue is going to take even longer to fix, which is completely fine in my perspective, stuff happens, you're people too, please at least officially and properly acknowledge the problem, and communicate with the community on the subject.
Yup, it's been 6 months for me now as well. And when you speak up against the devs, some entitled little ban happy moderator gives you a warning not to do so. You can't take the heat? Then stay the hell out of the kitchen. More and more people are coming forward with this issue and have opened tickets and still no fix. Time to unf**k yourselves and start fixing your game.
It's been awhile that I've been dealing with this problem. Every update that gets to the game, I start playin' it with a little hope and encounter the same problem. Every each update my hopes are being devoured.

Problems always accur, we can't argue that. But, how long this is going to be take from our lives? This should be the main issue of the dead by daylight, as a great game (I see in my perspective) This should be something to be worked on first then lookin' out for content to get in the game.
There it is... new update has come out. Its not even mentioned in the known bugs. And yet here we are. Still the same old. Are the devs really still trying to fix this thing? How do they expect me to enjoy the game if I'm stuck at yellow ranks all the time.
Same for me. I have had this for SIX MONTHS and because of it I am rank 20! I cannot pip. The game is useless. And I cannot understand why they do not mention it in the known bugs. They are aware of the issue as they say, when I send them tickets...
I saw people recommending VPNs but we shouldn't be forced to use such softwares to play a game we paid for already.
When the hell is this thing gonna get fixed?
VPN can possibly fix it, but you want me to spend more on a monthly basis to play a game I paid for? Because I've tried various numbers of free VPNs and they all mess up my connectivity.
When The Oni chapter came out, I didn't get the errors and I was so happy that I got the drive to finish the archive challenges... but then I took a few days break, and I come back hearing they did another patch, and here we are again. More Errors. What the hell are the dev and bug fixing team doing? I've been having this for almost 4 months now... while others have had it for 9!
What the actual ######### is wrong with this team. Its not even mentioned in the "known issues" anymore, nor does the support team reply to me.
The fact that it is not mentioned in the "known issues" makes me feel worried. Have they abandoned it?
I'm afraid they have abandoned this issue, it's a shame really, the game is pretty good.
This issue is 100% connection related. I have tried playing on the same PC with a different connection (mobile) rather than my usual home connection (fiber) and was able to play without any isues.
Please do not abandon this issue, dear devs of DbD. I'm pretty sure its something really simple.
