Question from SundoWave
Are you planning to bring back the old dailies with larger BP rewards? If not, then why?
Answer
Design team answer
We have no plans to bring back the old rewards to the daily rituals. Since the progression has been changed, the high rewards for daily rituals were too high and this is why they got lowered.

Question from Arkiece
Do you have anything you're allowed to talk about in regard to upcoming patches? The roadmap from the announcement showed the plan for content from June onward, but there is still lots of time between now and then. I'd love to know what I can expect in the near future.
Answer
Production team answer
Prior to the start of our Year 3 roadmap, we are planning to bring you the Emblem system, Loss of progress fixes and anti-cheat improvements! There will be a bit more added to this in terms of bug fixes or even backend changes that won't be visible in-game.
Question from thesaltiestmanalive
I remember you guys saying that another event will be coming shortly after the Howling Grounds event. Are there still plans for this?
Answer
The next planned event is the Second Anniversary that will be happening in June.
Question from potarus
You mentioned adding more cosmetics, how do you plan on releasing them, in large bulk additions or trickled a few at a time. Will there be cosmetics that cannot be bought, only earned?
Answer
Production team answer
You will get a lot more information about the cosmetics and processes when we are starting the Year 3 roadmap! (maybe a bit before if we are ready)
Question from imysterygamer
Will you ever make a poll asking us the players, changes we want rather then what you guys think we want? For example, buffs and nerfs or reworks we think are necessary? Like a MAJOR freddy buff?
Answer
Community Management team answer
We started doing a lot of feedback surveys. They are normally announced on Steam, Facebook and Twitter. We also do focus groups surveys.
Question from misspence
Has it ever been considered to add an almost Borrowed Time effect to the fabled 4% unhook? Outside of new player games, most players would 4% through desperation and it seems unrewarding should they unhook themselves + be struck down while locked in animation. I know this has been discussed before and people have said 'no one should be rewarded for being lucky' but that is a sentiment I don't necessarily agree with.
If anything, can a player be immune during the animation as they pick themselves off the ground or can the animation be shortened? While it usually isn't ever worth attempting a 4%, I'd imagine that the 4% was added as a last resort reward in itself and it's anti-fun to get get any shot sundered by a quick m1 to the spine.
Answer
Design team answer
This is not something we are considering doing.
Question from shotphoenix4
Regarding the big announcement last week, will these additions that were in the announcement be slowly implemented into the live version of the game over the next couple of months leading up to June, or will the implementation begin in June when the Year 3 roadmap begins and the 2nd year anniversary comes around?
Answer
Production team answer
The roadmap for Year 3 starts in June 2018. Some of the additions that were listed (Emblem system, Loss of progress fixes, Anti-cheat improvement) will be introduced before June.
Question from mattbernss
How do you guys deal with fat shaming spots in maps? Do you have to rewrite some code as to where the obstacles can spawn in relation to each other?
Answer
Design team answer
Fat shaming spot are created by objects called ''edge objects'' that are on the edges of our map tiles and they normally are overruled by other edge objects spawning. Right now, we have an issue with the edge objects being spawned even if / when they aren't supposed to. (Ie, a tree in front of a Pig BOX) This is a bug and yes, it is caused by a spawn issue between tiles.
Question from reshar
Any future plans to include mechanics to prevent or reduce camping and or pallet looping?
Answer
Design team answer
There is no plan to reduce camping. Some incentives might happen but no definite plan.
As for Pallet looping, the Design team is testing different changes to loop sizes, safty of pallets and pallet spawns.
Question from rhobaz
Would it be possible to look into the possibility of changing the escape mechanic on trapper’s traps to a consistent wiggle bar instead of rng? Extendable with add-ons.
Answer
Design team answer
This is a really interesting idea but is unlikely to happen anytime soon.
Question from howdy_mcgee
Will there be any rewards for players who attain 100% achievements at any point? Neat skin maybe?
Answer
Design team answer
That would be awesome but it would work only if we limit the 100% achievements on the base game ach. There is always addition of new content and it changes the total number of achievements which would cause players to hit the 100% multiple times.
Question from darktronik
Do you think notifications/informations for survivors about perks should be tuned down?
e.g.: as soon as you touch a generator, if the killer has the huntress lullaby perk equipped, it will notify survivors.
Answer
Design team answer
For Huntress Lullaby, it isn't intended. The intended use is that the icon appears when you are affected for the first time by the perk, like NOED does.
Question from exregeoberonis
What are your plans regarding players who have lost progress due to the game failing to save properly? Players have lost thousands of collective hours, legacy unlocks, and exclusive content, and your blood point compensation is inadequate, in many cases returning less than the player had by a large margin and with no restoration of cosmetics.
Answer
Production team answer
Right now, with the goal to fix the issue before the start of the Year 3 roadmap, we are working really hard to make LOP an issue of the past.
We know this has been problematic for a long time and we understand the consequences on the playerbase. As for legacy unlocks, there is no means for us at the moment to bring these cosmetics back on an individual level which is why we aren't doing it. The bloodpoint compensation has been done by our Economy designer and has evolved with the progession changes, this is why it is lower than it was in the past.
Question from darthcheeba
Will the future "balance updates" be equally directed towards killer and survivor? To clarify will both be getting buffs and nerfs or are you prioritizing strengthening/weakening one or the other? As a killer main I would hate to see survivors nerfed into the ground to compensate for where killer lacks. There are fairly useless perks, and unfair game aspects on both sides.
Answer
Design team answer
The balance patches will be mixed. The changes will not be one-sided and the target is to improve the whole game.
Question from jtrav1987
I haven't found any recent information regarding the ultrawide format for DBD. With 21:9 gaining popularity, are there any plans to allow ultrawide owners an equal experience to that of a normal screen? Last I've read it doesn't format correctly and makes the game nauseating to play on one.
Answer
Production team answer
We're sorry but as of right now there are no plans to make any changes to how it is currently supported.
Question from geoxhon
Hex Huntress Lullaby now gives you a notification when the killer is running this perk even though it has zero tokens on it, previously survivors had to guess if you were running it. Was this intended or an actuall bug?
Answer
Design team answer
Not intended. We do not want to give that much information. The intended use is that the icon appears when you are affected for the first time by the perk, just like NOED works.
Question from sprongo-
Any planned changes to Hag? I've mained her for a long time, and absolutely love her, but if you want to win, theres so many other, better killers to turn to. Tbh all she needs is a way to speed up her gameplay, it's all a little repetitive and slow atm. Even if she wasn't buffed, changing her playstyle a little to something more thrilling and fluid would make her so much more fun and popular I think.
Answer
Design team answer
Before we change the Hag, we need to fix major bugs that are happening with her.
Question from theghostofswitzer
The PTB gave you invaluable information on the new emblem system, are you planning to expand that to give players more o;opportunities to test new updates?
Answer
Production team answer
Absolutely! It is plan of our next year's system to open a PTB for each major patch. (see content patches and mid-chapter patches). There will also be a feedback survey per PTB!
Question from otter_on_drugs
Will the cosmetics be added as individual DLC items (Like the way it is now) or will it become just an in-game thing, like for example the way it is in CS:GO.
Answer
Production team answer
The cosmetics and the processes to aquire them will be publicly explained but we need a bit more time to prepare that communication.
Question from mind_and_iron
Are there any plans for other types of game modes?
Answer
Design team answer
Yes! We are at the brainstorming stage of new games modes and new game objectives.
Question from g4m3r104
Are there any plans of buffing No Mither? My suggestion would be 25%/50%/75% instead of 0%/25%/50%, or maybe even at tier three give it so you’ll get Endurance instead of automatically going into the dying state. Reason behind this is as a No Mitherer, I would hate for a teachable to die because basically everyone sees it as the worst perk in the game. It’s ok if you can’t, though, it’s just a suggestion, and I’m just another human being.
Answer
Design team answer
There is plans for No Mither but they are just plans for now. We are exploring the idea of having the survivor icons dimmed out and not giving any state information until the killer sees them for the first time and / or remove the constant injured music
Question from rosea96
Will you "fix" no mither? If somebody pick it s/he handicap team so hard.
Answer
Design team answer
We have plans to change No Mither but we don't consider it needs a fix rather than changes. Playing No Mither has advantages and inconvenients, like most of the perks. Note that other perks can influence the team (Sole Survivor, for example, count on the rest of the team to die to get full power). As for No Mither, we are exploring the idea of having the survivor icons dimmed out and not giving any state information until the killer sees them for the first time
Question from bjbrannon07
Mcote any plans on buffing no mither to where killer can't see the icon but survivors can?
Answer
Design team answer
Mathieu is not the one deciding on buffs and nerfs to the perks. He is the director of the game. The Design team makes those changes. There is plans for No Mither but they are just plans for now. We are exploring the idea of having the survivor icons dimmed out and not giving any state information until the killer sees them for the first time.
