Has anyone completed all 4 pages?
Is there a complete list of the challenges?
I'm curious as to what the skill cap (or gap) is gonna be for the last page - Will it be feasible for 'casuals' to complete said challenges?
No way is it friendly to the average player. Ask yourself how often do you realistically get interrupts (grabs) on survivors? How often do you get 2 sacrifices during the End Game Collapse with NOED?
Those are just 2 challenges from the 3rd level. I hate to see what 4th level challenges are.
Also keep in mind each level is time gated. So the really difficult challenges cannot even be completed until near the end of the Rifts life cycle. Putting a serious time constraint on you.
Also are you ready to get farmed every match? Because a level 2 challenge is save FIFTEEN survivors from the hook.
I was so excited for the Rift. But its designed to guarantee that averagely skilled players cannot beat it in time.
Pls talk to us Behavior.
kill 4 survivors in the basement seems good for the game health do you see the insidious basement camp coming
@Theoretical_Heart Yeah, I'd noticed that early on seeing the challenges via various Streamers. And as a very average and casual DbD player, it showed me that purchasing the Rift is an absolute no-go for me.
Not gonna lie - I haven't seen anything yet that I would not be able to get in time.
Is there a complete listing anywhere?
If that's the case what is the point of this thread?
To address the three direct questions that I have asked at the beginning of the thread, which, despite having several replies complaining about The Rift, still contains 0/3 of the answers I'm looking for.
Why post in a thread without addressing the questions asked in the OP and then ask the creator why they're posting said thread?
1.i dont think anyone has completed all 4 pages cause you get 70 days for all of this the pages will release not at the same time tough
2.not that i know
Nah you made it to white knight and excuse the design of the rift being intentionally unwinnable by 90% of players. Nice try though.
So I questioned whether or not it is ACTUALLY FEASIBLE FOR CASUALS to complete, and you somehow interpret that as white knighting.
The floor is yours.
I was really excited, despite my previous hesitations, about the battle pass until I saw how difficult the challenges got on such a time crunch - a clock block, if you will.
I am a seasoned plat hunter, I like getting trophies and completing the challenges required - but I greatly dislike it when said challenges are not so much about perseverance or skill but sheer dumb luck and stars aligning - it is so unfriendly to players and consumers ESPECIALLY when you add in the time limit that’s even FURTHER limited arbitrarily by the weekly unlocks or what have you.
The challenges help encourage you to switch up your gameplay style and tactics.
So that mean as a survivor you may need to try different perks.
And as a killer play different killers for different scenarios. For example, Spirit,Ghostface,Myers and Pig are good for gen grabbing. And sometimes the Wraith(depending on add-ons)
We told you no it wasn't feasible. You responded "ha, well I can complete them" meaning the question was disingenuous and you'd already made up your mind.
Those end game sacrifices with NOED only require that you have the perk equipped. You could run Bloodwarden to trap survivors and it'll still count for the challenge.
Honestly most of these challenges aren't that difficult so far.
I said that I, that's anecdote in case you're wondering, haven't seen any that I would not be able to complete.
I'm on Rift Page 1 (well, technically 0 after uninstalling the PTB after two days), I've seen the challenges Paulie scrolls over in his video, and I've seen the ones posted here.
Keep reaching - almost there ;3
-Get 2 Sacrifices during the End Game Collapse using NOED (in one trial)
-Interrupt (grab) 4 survivors
-Get 4 sacrifices in the Basement (in one trial)
I'm still curious as to what Page 4 will look like O_O
It looks like an eye and they are all master challenges.
Sorry, I mean the challenge descriptions/its overall difficulty :)
Well there's one that wants you to sacrifice 3 survivors during endgame with NOED, search 4 chest with Plunders, 2 Trapper ones (one of which requires you to catch 4 individual survivors in your beartrap).
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. They're not that difficult, just require some luck and planning.
1 - Bloodwarden + Noed
2 - I’ve already listed the killer to use
3 - Capture one survivor, and use insidious with leather face.
On on top of that not all challenges are meant to be achievable for every player. If you want it that bad then you have to grind for it. That’s the whole point of the rift. Players have been asking for challenges and rewards.
the only one im gonna have trouble with is the basement one. and even then, theres PLENTY of basement build videos out there.
also the NOED one, but not because its hard, but because i'll just feel like a jerk for it.
You are paying money for it. It should be achievable by every player. Period.
It's your money. We'll see how you feel when you didn't finish the Rift. Come next mid chapter.
Sorry but most of the playerbase is like me. They are of average to lower skill and most of us have jobs and or school that takes up most of our time. So between our skill and time most of us won't complete the premium pass. Those like me have to voice our opinion to get changes made or we'll have to not buy the pass. I'd like to think BHVR wants us to buy the pass. Maybe the should talk to us. But they don't even do the dev streams anymore.
-Get 2 Sacrifices during the End Game Collapse using NOED (in one trial)
-Get 3 Sacrifices during the End Game Collapse using NOED (in one trial)
^- Does anyone know if this needs to be in the SAME match or over multiple matches? I know the "master" ones sometimes need to be in the same challenge. Trying to understand it better.
If you pay money for it, it should be achievable. I agree. @Theoretical_Heart
The thought occurred to me when looking at this thread,,, I really hope the dev's did not design these challenges to be "hard" so as you go thru them you panic and buy more auric cells to progress through the tiers... negating the "cell return"... I think for the most part, I'll just have to wait and see what exactly is they do about certain things... I guess.. As I still have a lot of unanswered questions about it all.
well believe it or not, they're trying to make money from it. if they wanted every casual player to get future passes for free, they would just make the premium pass free from the start. its not meant to be easy, its meant to be a bit of a grind, like the rest of the game is. i know, it sucks. but, this is the PTB stuff, so theres still time for it to all change.
also im not good either, but i can certainly think outside the box for some of these challenges. not everyone will be willing to do it, but for me the gen grab is easy as heck. just farm. let them work on the gen, grab one, let them wiggle out, do it again. the NOED one? ive seen NOED turn 0ks to 4ks before. if clearly bad players can do it, im sure i can too. though like i said i'll feel like crap for it.
Master challenges needs to be complete in one match and these tome don't need money to complete.
Hell, you could play around 10 matches a day and unlock everything on the rift without even doing a single challenge.
You are paying to have some sort of exclusive rewards. There’s always the free track if money is the issue.
1) The sacrifice in endgame with no one escapes death is not too hard blood warden and noed a hell of a combo.
2) the interruptions practically means play a stealth killer it's not too hard to get with ghostface or tier 1 Myers
3) the basement is complete bs unless you're going up against the bunch of potatoes who are throwing themselves at the basement like suicidal lemmings or by some dumb luck a bunch of survivors managed to get down close around it was you had a basement build.
1 and 2 require serious investment, even if your killers are level 50.
Those are both master challenges. So they have to be done in a single trial.
Lol, 100+ hrs on top of BS hard challenges is not a "bit" of a grind. I'd rather they remove the auric cells from track if that's why they made it impossible to complete. I don't want my cells back. I want to be able to get what I paid for.
It's not about the money. I want what I pay for. Nowhere have I complained about the money. Remove the auric cells from the track if that is the reason they made it BS impossible to complete.
We get it. You are bad ass. Move along.
