"hex totems are high risk high reward"

Hmmm yes. Applying blindness is such a high reward with an equal risk when it spawns out in the open or next to a generator.

The "risk" factor of losing a hex totem is too rng dependant, while yes perks like ruin and devour hope fit the bill, in cases (especially for devor hope) sometimes the perk gets no use at all because a survivor spawned next to it. Just because a perk can heavily impact the game doesn't mean the totem should be easy as all Heck to remove (in particular against killers that don't have the good ability to defend an additional objective : their totem)

Tbh I think all totems should adopt a noed like effect, the hex persists until ALL totems are cleansed, maybe cleansing the actual lit totem gave you an immunity to its effects for a minute or something idk

    You... You do know the definition of "risk", right...?

    And your "hex persists until ALL totems are cleansed" wouldnt work. It'd be too powerful. If the killer has ToTH and another Hex totem its almost impossible to cleanse either unless the survivors are incredibly coordinated.

    Theres only so many places they can spawn totems, theres 7 generators, 4 survivors and 5 different totems they need to place around the map, if you dont spawn totems around points of interest where else can they do it. Has the title says, its high risk high reward, if you want a powerful buff then you are putting your perk slot on the line.

    On a side note, the amount of survivor perks that rely on auras that have been coming out recently have made Hex: Third Seal not so useless. Obviously its not the best perk in the rooster, but since killers dont actively see the perk effect in action it has gotten a lot of unfair criticism.

    The fact that you might get no use out of the perk is the risk.

    In return, you get an extremely powerful effect if the perk activates properly. I don't think you'll find anyone who denies that Third Seal is underwhelming and needs to be reworked, but perks like Devour Hope and NOED definitely live up to what a hex perk is supposed to be.
