New Killer.. Not Spirit's Father

I re-read The Spirit's lore on the wiki, and it doesn't make any sense why the new killer would be her father. She wanted revenge on her Father so the entity took her before she could die for that exact reason.. If anything, the killer is her ancestor (hence the mask and the reverse flow of time).
I could be wrong, but am I the only one who doesn't think it's Rin's father? Again, lore-wise it wouldn't make sense for the entity to do this (but then again, it's the entitiy... and it's also just a game..)

the entity took her and promised her revenge but this is an evil god were talking about its probably not gonna be the most honest
maybe it's the entity itself disguised as a demon
I mean, the lore could be that the Entity Fs with killers too, you know? Rin wants revenge, the entity drags her father as killer so that she can never get it and so she becomes a bloodlusted killer because of it. The entity wins another round

We know nothing about Rin's father nor her ancestor.
So who cares if its her father or mother in law ? lol
Actually... we do.. Read Rin's lore (for info on her father) and the Yamoaka's estate lore (for info on her ancestor). Here, I'll even be a good boy and link both wiki's to you:

Just look at what it has done to Evan, Herman, Adiris, Nurse and Spirit, they are all suffering constantly to amuse the entity. He keeps them there just to play with them, they are nothing but toys, why would it care about a simple promise?
I just hope he is like his daughter, namely powerful
I agree with most of those, but Herman's having the time of his life.
Lore wise, him being more powerful than his daughter wouldn't make sense, the entity took rin because her rage was more powerful than his dads despair.
I read Rin's lore and we know nothing about her father except he was fired amd killed his family because yes.
Never read the Yamaoka's estate lore before ,but yes its 100% her ancestor the next killer
I never read it either until after I saw a comment on youtube confirming what the wiki said. It's 100% her ancestor, no question. Unless DBD f's up the lore and makes it her father. smh

2 things.
1- Rin got her revenge, she killed her father. Him stsying dead wasn't part of the deal.
2- It's not like the entity cares anyway... what will Rin do? Not obey the entity?

They will make it her second cousin twice removed.
I believe that the killer is going to be the guy they mentioned in the lore.... there is the possibility that the father could be the survivor.
I have hope's that the ancestor comes to the fog wanting to save Rin. Maybe this story could end with Rin being the first to escape the entity's grasp.
It does seem a bit too blatent for a tease but maybe they couldn't be bothered with anything too perplexing this time round? I do like the idea of a sequel DLC to Shattered
THANK YOU. Can't understand the weird hype around Spirit's father as a killer when he was passed over by the entity itself as a potential killer. If it didn't want him then, why would it suddenly have chosen him after he became miserable and guilty for murdering his family?
The new potential samurai killer on the other hand looks and sounds dope as hell.
This makes way more sense than it being her father.
I honestly want her father as a survivor. That comes with more obsession perks that way. With The Spirits teachable perk Rancor to kill the obsession at end game. She gets what she wanted. Her Revenge.
It wouldn't be the first time the Entity grabbed people because they had a mental breakdown. Just look at Wraith.
I believe it is going to be her ancestor. Her father disgraced the bloodline killing his daughter with the family heirloom katana.

Not the father, the first Yamaoka. The Oni.
I think because of Rin's lore, her father would be a survivor, or Run would become a survivor and her father becomes a killer
This could all be a red herring too misleads us
