Slugging for the 4k is Unhealthy

Ever since Endgame Collapse has appeared, there has been a rampant rise in slugging in order to get a 4k. I personally believe this to be unhealthy as you are basically holding the game hostage and artificially extending its duration.
Killers are also complaining about the abuse of keys, yet they themselves are (probably) actually forcing Survivors to bring them to dodge this "strategy".
Force out the Survivor by hunting the hatch and closing it. They'll fairly reliably go for the two objective points. It also makes the game better for everyone.
And yes I play killer. Pig, Myers, Spirit and Doctor. 3/4 that I play are not mobility killers.

On the contrary to my experience. Slugging considerably decreased. I used to get slugged literally every single game when I was one of the two survivors alive. Now I encounter slugging killers rarely. Some of them only slug till they find the hatch for themselves, most don't care and just hook the 3rd one.
I don't understand do you slug as killer or not? If you are it is your business, your play style.
I'll always slug for a 4K, not giving up my points! However, if I can't find them within about a minute, I just hook the 3rd guy and hope for the best.
The last survivor should just give themselves up when the 3rd person is slugged since they technically failed their objective.
Not holding the game hostage.
Report me for slugging then, oh wait.
It's not holding the game hostage, but it is boring as [BAD WORD] as survivor. As a killer i slug only if i see the 4th in my line of sight, otherwise hook and go
I dont see point on wasting my own time for couple thousand bp. Only time I slug is when last survivor has been toxic and give the slugged one hatch.
I always slug. Survivors deserve to suffer 😈
You genrushed me? Ok kiss the ground now
A lot of people forget that slugging is not only boring for the survivor, it's also boring for the killer.
So why do killers still do it, even when it's boring? Because it makes a big difference in Emblem points and bloodpoints whether you get a 3k or a 4k.
What is the obvious solution? Give killers more points for a 3k.
i say gen rushing is unhealthy what a about that.
Most of the time, it's the other way around. I've had a team wiped super quickly and the other person gets slugged.
And it certainly feels like it. You are actively holding up the game.
I never said it wasn't. I think one-sided slaughters are unhealthy, but they still happen.
I think that tunnelling and camping are unhealthy. People still do it.
This, though, is an issue that is a simple change by a few people.
It's hard to fight my sweaty killer main instincts.
Slugging for a 4k is not unhealthy. It also isn't holding the game hostage.
Slugging for the 4k is necessary to avoid the broken hatch mechanic. The emblem system also punishes you if you don't.
You wanna talk unhealthy? Leaving your teammmate on the ground to bleed out why you sit in the corner of the map by the hatch waiting for him to die.
The "boring" response about being slugged just doesn't make sense either. Whether you are sitting on the ground or sitting on the hook, either way you are doing nothing. At least with slugging you can try and crawl away and possibly get up without costing you one of your hooks. You also have multiple anti slug perks available.
that's better. but i mean what can we do about that? Nothing lol
Killers goal is to sacrifice ALL the survivors. Many killers don't care but the ones that do are called 'sweaty' or 'try-hard' or worse for attempting to complete their objective.
Reverse it. Generators are done and killer hooks someone. Most survivors 99% the exit gates and go back to save the survivor. They are artificially extending the game to deny the killer their objective.
Haven't heard anyone complain about that. Some survivors leave but most at least attempt to get everyone out.
There's no difference between a killer trying to secure a 4k and survivors trying to get everyone out.
Only difference is survivors don't think it's fun to crawl around on the floor.
That's cute. You think that I'm the one getting slugged. 99% of the time, the killer has never seen me when they do this.
And the hatch mechanic was more broken before.
It's also kinda hard to heal the poor slugged victim when killers patrol their bait.
I only slug if I can see the last survivor is nearby. Only other time I slug is if you've been really toxic.
I'm referencing "You" as a general term to all people who have an issue with slugging for the 4k. Your, "That's cute" to be sarcastically demeaning is quite unnecessary. You can make a rational argument without it.
"And the hatch mechanic was more broken before."
No one has argued that it wasn't more broken before. We are simply saying it is still broken now. It can be less broken and still be broken at the same time.
"It's also kinda hard to heal the poor slugged victim when killers patrol their bait."
And then you are left to freely finish gens with no interruptions whatsoever and escape.
i usually just dc if i get slugged. it's not worth the time to lay on the ground watching the other guy t bagging from the other side of the map waiting for me to bleed out
think some people are trying to stretch the meaning of "holding a game hostage" this applies to things like trapping a survivor in the corner where the game cannot actually be ended. Anything within the end game collapse is fine it has a timer anyways ending the game regardless of what your doing.
This discussion was already done a few hours ago:

so a killer isnt supposed to want to kill everyone...? Also If i use something like survivor pudding you can bet im gonna kill everyone. Also the devs have talked about this holding the game hostage is only if you trap a survivor in the corner and refuse to move. If you ask me they should follow the system of their other game when you have 1 survivor left deathgarden.
Killers can opem a 99'd gate.
And a lot of my discussions are Killer favoured.
Killer is meant to EARN their kills.
If we could all just stop usig cheap tactics that take no skill, the game would be in a better place.
I don't slug the 2nd last survivor anymore unless I know exactly where the location of the last survivor is. It's super boring when you are killer and super boring when you are survivor.
Sure, it means sometimes the last survivor escapes through the hatch, but if the game gets to that point it means I've won anyways. It's a much better use of my time to just take the coin flip of the hatch and go to the next game.
SO if ive utterly destroyed you guys hooked each of you all 3 of the times (except for the last 2 obviously) and you still have a few gens left (like 3) and i down the other survivor you think i should just kill them on the hook and let you get the potential of a free win even though you didnt do literally anything towards your objective? No i did a good job im gonna down that survivor and hunt you down and if your hiding on the hatch thats good because you didnt deserve it anyway.
Slugging is like a hook state that takes 30 seconds to save someone from (as if they ever recover) and doesn't give you WGLF stacks or use of any of your perks, and you can't even end it early to move on to the next match.
Also it penalizes the killer since they're not actually hooking a survivor so they miss out on sacrifice points.
Theyre talking about downing the survivor then killing the other survivor so they dont get the hatch then coming back and hooking the downed player for a 4k.
So, you're gonna punish ME for being randomly assigned potatoes? Wow.
I work for my place in this game. I do generators, I go for unhooks. I do everything I can for the team. If the other 3 idiots don't know how to work a generator for once, that's not MY fault and I shouldn't be punished for it because "buh, muh fer keh"
That's not the Killer's problem and he has no obligation to make it up to you.
Take it up with BHVR's matchmaking system
