Seriously? Look at these numbers? That's ridiculous. This is not fun for anyone is it? It adds more a grind to a game with an already ridiculous grind. You may say "it's only cosmetic" but, I personally will never be buying the pass again.
Not worth it for those tiny pixel charms
I am tired, disgusted, bored. Survivors jumping into the basement like a squirells, just for unhook. Killers (98% trappers) trapping all entrances to the basement for basement hookings all. Nobody do the gens. No one play normal. Stupid baiting to farming from the killers and after endgame tried to sacrifice all with noed.
Nothing challenging on this. Just toxic [BAD WORD]...
has anyone even gotten the EGC survivor one? The killer challenges seem easy, but that one is substantially rough, you have to have decent enough survivors to get to EGC then have to unhook 2 of them during it... I really can't see that being done without swf.
I truly feel conned into buying Premium Pass after the "1 hr per day to fully complete Rift" stuff we got. We all know those numbers don't add up, even if you're able to complete all the Tome challenges. Shady AF, frankly. Burn me once, shame on you; burn me twice... won't be happening again, for sure.
I really don't mind a grind, but this is boorish and unnecessary. Between the impossibility of someone who doesn't sit on this game 5-6+ hrs per day and the shady estimate to completion, I reckon I've about had my fill of it.
I've played multiple matches today where I don't kill anyone and let everyone escape at the end, and I'll have hooked the survivors once (or not at all) during the match, and they never come up to me at the end and try to get me to hook them to do their EGC challenge. Or to go towards the "unhook 25 survivors" challenge. I mean, I imagine most survivors are still working on those two and not any of the later ones, but no one's attempting to farm unhooks with me. Maybe they're afraid I'm attempting the NOED EGC challenge, I dunno, but whatever.
Not to mention half the charms are just copys of eachother in different colours
It seems like every implementations of "Challenges" and the Rift stuff by the team has been attempts to pad out the length of matches artificially.
Am I the only one who has noticed this?
the tomes in general are having an adverse effect on the game. 90% of the killers are just trappers who stand there doing nothing except setting traps , chasing crows and smacking walls . No one is playing seriously as a killer. No one is playing seriously as a survivor either. People are standing there knocking down pallets for no reason etc etc , chasing crows.
Hopefully the next patch will put some more life into this game. ALthough, wiht players named Hex : DC, immediately dc everytime they join a match, and players named "iliketodc" doing likewise..I'm not too sure anymore though. Right now about 2/3 matches basically result in either an immediate abandonment , or an abandonment partway through by players named some sor tof form of "iliketodc" or "hex:dc"..
so ..if your plan is to start banning these players then ..sad to say, this is going to have an adverse effect on the game since there are so many of them.
Adverse to get rid of the people ruining the game? I have a hard time following that logic.
I'm personaly doing challanges while try to play well and do peep/win. I like the idea of challenges and I finish the first and second tome with no problem. However I'm only at level 33 of the rift , and I've played the game 3 hours per day. Even if tome challanges give me a motivation to play this wonderful game, more than the only daylies, when I see today the third page (and time ago the last page with the bug) I think that is a little bit too much grinding and frustrating. I fear I cant complete the premium pass I have bought, and I dont like to play 3 hours for day every dingle day (time that I can do something esle, more important), and dont like some bad design challanges like basement one (loosing peep today for rush it) or the most difficult/random one. I fear burnout (devs says that have make time from different tomes, but now I thin I have only less time to finish it).
Try reading what I said again, in full. This time don't just pick and choose what you take away from it. Clearly, based on what I am saying the issue is there are so many of these people, that if they were to get banned, the population would drop drastically. 2/3s of all match ups between ranks 20 and 10 include at least one, sometimes 2 or 3 people who dc. That's a significant number.
Why behaviour would allow people to have names like "iliketodc" or "hexdc" is beyond me also.
the tome has nothing to do with the rift. You can complete the premium pass you bought quite easily by gaining 1 "level " per day, which takes about an hour of your time. You gain levels simply by playing. When you collect 10 shards you level up to the next tier in the pass. The tomes can be completed at anytime. The only thing frustrating about their design is that you cannot que multiple challenges at once. Originally you could, but I guess they removed that.
it adds up..not sure why you would think it didn't. YOu buy the pass. you have 72 days to complete the pass. their are 70ish tiers. You are given back your 1k ac. It costs 100 ac to get one level. you can easily get 1 , 2, or 3, levels (10 shards each) a day (this is only about 1 - 2hours gameplay as a survivor. This does not include doing the tomes. If you put the 1k ac back into the rift, you can gain a further 10 levels. Furthermore, if you wait until day 69 / 70ish to even buy the rift pass, you will automatically be granted 69 tiers in the premium rift, so there is no possible way to get behind unless you choose not to play the game. If you choose not to play the game at all during that 70ish day period. then obviously you have moved on to play another game.
None of this is really the issue with the rift/tomes. THe issue is how the player base is abusing it. I basically took a whole week off playing this game. Within 2 days I was caught up. there are 42 days left and i only need 30 tiers..that's ample enough time.
Feels so good to progress on one challenge by like 10% after 1h of gametime. 100% not grindy. 200% feels amazing and worth it. Can't wait to finish it next year!
Yup! Agree 100% these challenge have made me not want to play this game, they gate the more doable behind nearly impossible challenges. I don’t even want to touch the killer ones because of how stupid they are; it’s all luck-based unfun garbage.
"you can complete the premium pass quite easily by gaining 1 "level" per day, which takes about an hour of your time"
LOL where did you get these stats? one level is 10 shards, each shard is 800 points, each game is around 500 points, so you need at least 2 games per shard.. so you need an average of 20 matches per level (remember this is an average, great matches and poor matches will obviously increase or decrease the amount of games you need to play)
And that isn't taking into account the matchmaking times. You know it could take forever sometimes to find a match, plus people disconnecting, dissolved lobbies, etc.
don't know what you are going on about, but i have been playing the game 2 hours so far today and have gained almost 3 levels in the rift. Sorry to stab you in the ego, but you are doing something wrong.
Totally agree. Those challenges turned into 'Farm by Daylight'. Some are fine, like Trapper's 'trap X survivors', that fits his gamestyle, gameplan, you're already trapping the map, so the challenge here is to get better at playing Trapper. But others? Just encourage dumb playing, grinding and tryharding.
I play mostly survivor and no matter the rank I mostly get some dumbasses that are farming hooks. Buddy got down, unhook, buddy picks up him and they keep going until they're dead. It's really great to encourage stupid playing. Or basement camping, just to get that shrine quest.
800 xp a match , 1 shard per match. Are others not getting 800xp a match? weird. I can tell that there is no convincing any of you. I'm done making further comments.
LMAO, dang, sorry to stab yours but to get 800+ a game could be with the extra points you get for first win, or first match of the day or whatever that is.
I play both killer and survivor and especifically checked both to see which would gain more points, and both are almost the same.
If it really was that easy, you wouldn't have a lot of people complaining about it.
And "sorry to stab your ego", here's a chart to further prove my point, made by DBD. (I dont talk just to talk, i DO base my comments with facts)
In this chart that shows you how many shards you get per level (shards are earned by leveling up, you level up via XP) to get 720 XP (less than the 800 you need for one level) you need 2 games total.. totally proving my previous point ;)
Oof now that’s what I call a major roast.
Yes but complete the tome challanges give you fragment for the rift. One level per day means ten fragments for day. One fragment = at least one match (800 xp). So one level is at least 10 games per day, and I think is a little too much, consider some days I cant play (or want do something). I think 5 games per day for a level would be better. Less heavy duty and more fun.
I'm pretty sure he meant rift fragments, not shards.
The graph you gave is XP table for devotion and how many shards you get per devotion level (1-99).
About XP, you can indeed get more than 800, but its only twice per day.
First, XP is capped per match at around 580 and that cap is reached at 10 minute mark, as thats how you get main XP portion, besides the silly emblem bonus that is what... Around 16 max?
Each day, you get a bonus of 300 XP by playing each role, this means you can get around 880 (or 850, doesnt matter) XP per match + worthless emblem bonus twice, netting you 1700 XP for 2 games (as long as you capped the XP, which means you played both rpunda for 10 minutes or more).
AFAIK, in order to get 1 rift fragment through exp, you need at least 16 games (avg od 500 XP per game), and that takes just over 2,5 hours per day of pure gameplay, not including any lobby time.
You dont need to play that much either, due to tomes giving you a big portion of lvls anyway.
Rift level, you mean? A fragment is earned one every other game, more or less.
I already wrote how frequently it is earned, there is no need for "more or less".
That's what I told him earlier, the only way to get over 800 XP is to get the 300 first time of the day bonus. He insisted he was getting 800+ XP every single game he played... That's why I posted that chart, to show the XP part. roughly 2 games to get 800 (not counting first games)
