I haven’t played since Demogorgon released, but I was happy to see in the patch notes that disconnection penalties have now been put in place to truly discourage disconnection by temporarily disabling the ability to search for a match for a variable amount of time.
Has the rampant disconnecting finally gone down to almost negligible, or are people still disconnecting as if nothing has changed? Or are they just suiciding on hook more / going AFK while the Survivors escape more?

The dc timeouts don't go out till the 5th
The penalties are not live. And there are some nasty bugs right now, so I expect people to DC anyway.
basement bug is the worst you cant do antthing after beeing hooked there

Yup, I dc the second i see the killer takin me or a teammate to the basement.
Basement bug is horrible. Now I see all killers running agitation.
Well it would be nice if it was even active. And even if it was people just suicide on first hook anyway, which there is still no punish for, so yeah nothing's changed.

The DC penalty will only go live on platforms with dedicated servers. So, PC and Switch right now.
The basement hook bug is ongoing on all platforms, as far as I'm aware.

Alright so, now that it’s ‘tomorrow’ - and I’ve made sure it’s a few hours after noon in my time to be certain it’s the 5th mostly everywhere else - how are the DC matchmaking penalties going?
DC penalties aren't live. (The devs said yesterday they would not start on the 5th.) However, it's probably going to happen soon.
