Weird Blinking?

My computer's specs are great, trust me. I've never had this issue before, but for some reason while i'm trying to finish off this season pass, my computer has weird visual glitches. My computer will "blink", where it will repeatedly turn black temporarily. If this goes on too long, it stops and my computer has weird translucent bars that cover my screen. I've never had this issue before, I don't know why or how it started. How do I stop this? Restarting only fixes it momentarily, maybe for 20 minutes or so.

Have you moved the computer recently at all?

Kinda sounds like you might just have a loose monitor cable (had something similar with a loose HDMI)

I have a laptop, and don't know what those things are. The only things plugged into my computer are my charging cables, an external under-fan that I use sometimes, and my charging cable

    Oooh... Okay. That's slightly worrying.

Does it do it on any other games? Do you have a TV you can try plugging it into to see if it resolves the issue?

It has happened the exact same thing to me like 10 minutes ago. I alt+f4 immediatly the game (I was in the lobby, so no one got screwed up :) ) and I immediatly checked for any strange thing, like peaks in gpu temperatures etc. I found nothing. I am on a laptop too, and this problem is completely new. Another thing I noticed was that my frame counter dropped enormously while the screen was flickering (I have perfectly stable 60fps, but during that "screen seizure", fps counter dropped to as low as 8fps). Now I am scared to even open dbd ... And not because of the genre of the game!

Hope this is some kind of stupid thing that can be resolved quickly.

If you're on a laptop, there's a good chance it's a hardware issue. It could be a bad connection from the screen to the motherboard, it could be potential overheating (even if temps seem good, trust me, i've been there) or it could be the GPU dying (very common in laptops).

What I would try doing, is downclocking the video card. Do you have nVidia or AMD? It may also be worth doing what I suggested to the user above and connecting the laptop to an external display, like a TV. That's a good way to test if it's the monitor or GPU (and also way easier)
