They're kinda restricted abit by the weapon and character model. The reach has to remain consistant with the other killers, but they cant change how long his blades look, and giving him stretchy arms to make him LOOK like it hit can still make people feel cheated into thinking the character shouldnt have that long of a reach (even if its the same as every other character). Imagine if his arms just grew during his animation to resemble this.
What suggestions do you have to make it both feel accurate AND not seem like a BS animation while maintaining the same range?
I totally agree with you on that! No one plays as the Hag anymore because of Freddy being able to teleport. I feel that his teleport ability should be an add on. All Freddy's use BBQ and Chilli now and it's annoying. I had one run that perk with hex ruin, Pop goes the weasel, and thantraphobia. Nothing got done and the match was garbage. But of course the usual killer players won't agree with you because God forbid any survivors might have a balance with any killer so that they could escape.
Freddy is perfect. Freddy is EXACTLY what they need to balance the rest of the killers around. He isn't that hard, but you can't bully him w level 15 tactics. It actually requires some skill to survive...
I'll never understand the dbd community logic. Freddy used to be boring, annoying and incredibly weak to play. Now when he finally has map control and good chase potential he need to be nerfed because... he is too strong.
I don't always escape against freddy, but im usually the last one alive. Run spine chill and hit the alarm clocks. Take bond so you can find other people to both wake up and to wake up. Play smart. Adapt. You won't always escape, but you should never expect to escape every game.

Similar reworks would be nice to even out the playing field, literally just so that we can see more types of killers being played instead of just a select few most of the time.
If this ends up making life too difficult for survivors I wouldn't even mind seeing some survivor changes to make game play more balanced, around "Skill-level" of a player, rather than the "Killer's Weaknesses"..
Well it is funny that you mention it, because it was only a matter of time until someone started to complain about the "next killer" soon after Spirit gets nerfed. I suppose this is just the beginning of probably more threads asking for Freddy Nerfs until something more drastic gets done and he becomes significantly less playable. I guess we will see, hopefully not.
Fun game though, think about who the NEXT killer will be that people complain about after Freddy, and find out if you are right or not once it happens lol.. whichever killer is performing slightly better than the rest will always get the spotlight I imagine.

You really shouldn't base yourself on kill rates, because if you base yourself on current events the rank and matchmaking systems are inaccurate and don't match players of similar skill levels more often than not.
GF will be next. There's already salty rivers flowing over his stealth ability not being fair because he can sneak up and get grabs, and has no TR or stain... 😂
I'm a survivor main for the last year solo red rank and gen rushing is a very real thing. How about instead of crying about things you deem unfair you learn to counter different killers instead of just treating every killer the same and then claiming the killer is op. I also love that you call me killer biased even though the last year I've been a survivor main. Try playing killer on high ranks and then get back to me about how gen rushing isn't real when 3 gens are done by first hook.

When do I complain about killers? All I did was acknowledge nurse was broken and that freddy was strong. Bias detected I guess?

Mobility is what allows killers to have map presence. You take away his teleportation ability and Freddy literally becomes a glorified Clown.
The problem with that example is that you got hit within 10 seconds by a base m1 killer which freddy is if your awake

The thing with Freddy i feel is that he somewhat counters the popular survivor sttategy's
Ignoring everything but gens and ignoring to wake up makes Freddy an insane chaser
And he also punishing "saving" the pallet with his snares
Either be awake or throw pallets early and he's a lot less opressive
