Hatch should only spawn with <5 gens done when there’s only one survivor left.

Spawning it when gens still have to be completed by 2 survivors makes it really unfair for 1 of them, because as it stands currently, scaredy cats will hide or hold hostage and force the other survivor to effectively kill themselves to end the match. You know, instead of the last survivors trying to get out alive together.
It also just feels really cheap as the killer. If I am able to, I would much rather kill the guy not participating than the one actually trying to do the objective.

When moris get balanced we can do something about hatch
Fixing the hatch would benefit survivors since it’s the OTHER survivors suffering for it.
Moris are a useable offering to kill one or more players if you hook them.
Hatch is a mechanic to prevent endless games and standoffs.
Yeah totally comparable.
Way to go with your stock answer for anyone mentioning hatch. He wasn’t stating it’s unfair to killer, he’s stating it’s unfair and annoying to your teammates and I agree. As solo queue survivor I’ve had a lot of teammate hide in lockers waiting for me to die so they can have hatch.
Yes I could do the same but that’s not fun, I’ll take the chase but you can believe when I get hooked I will struggle the entire minute hoping the killer finds the other person too.
Moris are not equal to the Hatch. You can dominate a game, and if you dont slug the 3rd survivor, the 4k is pretty much a RNG nightmare that the last survivor usually finds the hatch with. Now, if you wanna talk about balancing Moris with Keys, I might go for that. I still think Keys are more powerful than Moris anyway. And Keys show up more in blood webs than Ebony Moris do, and that's really the only Mori people have a problem with.
I think the Hatch needs to be replaced with a different sort of end game for a final survivor. Maybe they have to last 2 or 3 minutes and then the gates open by themselves? Idk. Something that would end with a final chase would be nice, and not a chase that leads to a random hole in the ground.
Killers consider hatch cheap cause some survivors that use it for escape.
Survivors consider moris cheap cause it ends the game/kills survivor when you are not supossed to.
Making the hatch appear when there's just one survivor left would also be a nerf to keys. I like the idea.
If hatch woulod only spawn at 5 gens we can as well delete it, since killer is able to open the doors and start egc -_-?
What if 1 survivor is left and 3 gens need to be completed?
Will survivors take again the game hostage? how could you activate egc?
You're fix doesn't make any sense.
The "supossed fix" OP's bringing to the table would damage a lot of other game mechanic.
If hatch only would spawn at 5 gens, if there is 1 survivor left and 5 gens are not completed, how does egc activate?
will survivor take again the game hostage which forces killer to dc?
You have a point,but no.
Yes,there are player that do that, but in higher ranks people either do gens, get chased or the "scaredy cats" look for a key in chests. If they fail, then they either work on a gen till their spine chill is active, then urban away or they camp the exit gates, with a hope of the other survivor to finish the last ten. Honestly,I am a "scaredy" cat. If I found the hatch,I'll search the closest box in hopes of getting a key, otherwise I work on gens and probably get into a Chase and die XD
Well. They're comparable when discussing keys and moris
What? Mori literally is just an offering. Hatch is every game. Literally most people mori only for challenges and archive challenges
Please read carefully. All I’m saying is that if survivors have died and gens still need to be completed, then the hatch should only appear when 1 is left. Nothing about the egc changes. Just that a survivor can’t camp and leave the other to an inevitable demise.
Yeah that's pretty unhealthy, but there's discouragement enough towards camping because of bp. If someone maxes out their objectives and boldness they deserve to camp hatch maybe?
Edit your title then.
"HATCH SHOULD ONLY SPAWN WITH <5 GENS DONE WHEN THERE’S ONLY ONE SURVIVOR LEFT."
With that title people understand that for the last survivor to escape all gens need to be completed.
And if the hatch doesn't spawn once "5 gens be completed" this would be a nerf to keys, andt that's why I bring the table that mori needs to be touched as well.
Read carefully, please.
He's saying that if 5 gens dont get completed the hatch doesn't spawn.
This would be a nerf to keys, and if keys get changed/nerfed moris should as well.
it can help when there is still 2 gens and only 2 survivors and 1 finds a key and can luckily have 1 or both escape. I do hate hatch campers though.
That is not what I said, way to be alarmist. The hatch would still spawn but only when survivor 3 dies. This changes nothing about 4 survivors escape via hatch or egc. This WOULD, however, nerf the survivors who hide and don’t do anything and force the other to die to end the match. And HOPEFULLY buff teamwork.
Actually, you're all misunderstanding the topic. They're saying it shouldn't spawn in if there's more than one person slice unless all gens are completed. So it would spawn under the following circumstances:
Check out my thread about Gen rush, I have a suggestion/Balance.
No. How about when we fix idk everything wrong with survivor side. Before you list off the same thing you guys always list off. "Toolboxes, Hatch or Keys, survivor perk nerfs" in that order. Because the decline in killers is going to ruin this game, and you guys are at fault. Sit down.
Why can't people just stop bitching about stuff and just play the game is the real question.
I would agree if only the basement is also closed till 5 gens are done since the basement is the killer counterpart/special mechanic opposite to hatch for survivors
I am someone that agree that keys and mori need to be nerfed.
Im saying 3/2 SURVIVORS escaping when there's 1/2 gen left.
Would this still work?
Cause you're post is really confusing and the title as well.
Because anyone who's played long enough and is actually good at the game and not toxic can see who has the advantage. But I'll leave that up to you to decide...
Ok how about this? As soon as the hatch spawns the killer can close (damage, seal, whatever) it just like you would to trigger egc. This might also trigger a clunk noise, or at least have a different graphic (excluding add ons or perks) so survivors can see this is no longer an escape (keys no longer work here)
However when this action would trigger egc like it does now it automatically triggers.
"When you are not supposed to"? That's out ENTIRE job as Killers. Four of you can split up and tackle your objectives however you like, but were forced to come after you one at a time. Mori's help us level the field by reducing numbers faster and helping to keep the pressure up. Add to that that we STILL have to chase you down TWICE to even use it, and all survivors have to do is use the key ONCE, or find the hatch ONCE, and that's game for EVERYONE, not just one person. We use a Mori, and three people still have a chance. You use a key, and that's game over unless we find it before the rest of your team does. Hatch shouldn't spawn open, and keys should have a skill check that breaks it if failed. Once check for purple, two for pink.
So you think moris are balanced and keys are op? Try playing survivor sometime you'll see how fair moris are.
