Were Gonna Farm Forever

I just ran WGFF for the first time and I feel scummy. Like the worse of the worse. Like i think I'm too pure for this game because people run this perk normally and I just... I lost myself running this perk...

We're Gonna Live Forever actually discourages farming though.
Part of the entire perk is that you only get stacks if you perform safe hook rescues.
Unless of course you have borrowed time (which, anyone running this perk will if they have anything resembling a brain). Then you can unhook and almost guarantee a safe rescue no matter what.
I hate the fact that my team loses when I run this perk instead of something useful like We'll Make It, Kindred, or Decisive Strike. That's why I feel scummy using it.
Yeah... I understand how it works but it just encourages BT and to take a hit. I almost never run BT or take hits unless I know they are gonna get off the killers hold... i... I played so recklessly per my teachers orders...
I wouldn't consider this situation farming. Borrowed Time provides safety to the unhooked survivor.
A farm is a farm if it's done right in front of the killer.
BT lets the unhooked survivor take and hit and gives them a chance to get away via the on-hit speed boost.
Unhooking in front of the killer with BT isn't a great idea but it isn't the same as unhooking right in front of the killer without BT.
It's still a farm.
I don't agree.
It depends on the player not the perk itself.
It can be used without BT no problem if the player doesn't rush in. BT is only needed if the killer is camping but then it isn't smart to save in the early game in that scenario anyway. It's always better to push through 3 gens first.
No perk is ever needed if the player is good and plays smart.
I consider it a farm. Even if they take a hit and BT goes off, what if the killer chases them instead of you?
I dont use BT with it, but then again I dont go for unsafe unhooks.
Then it might be you not the group or the perk. Surviors should be able to win pretty easily without perks if you play.......or maybe I have just played way too much.
If the killer hits you with BT you will get a temporary speed boost which should be enough to propel you to a suitable location to elongate the chase.
Its still worse than BBQ, cause its just rng.
So far I've seen plenty of people farming teammates off hook with BT and WGLF.
Sure, sometimes it's the right play. But usually it's some idiot following the killer to the hook and unhooks right in their face for the stack. They screw the team over and it's really frustrating.
I think this perk is acceptable when you use it correctly it is a bonus reward for altruistic play. If a killer is camping then this perk incentivizes you to take a big risk and rewards accordingly. Same with taking protection hits.
The scummy part is when you deliberately farm with it and dont really care if your teammate makes it to safety
I hate WGLF. I hate how if I want to farm as killer I get to run one of the best perks in the game (that I'd probably use even if it didn't give bonus BPs) and as survivor I have to waste a perk slot.
I truly feel this perk deserves a rework OR we need more perks with a similar effect in the game.
The perk is fine. Bad survivors play badly by themselves.
