HELP Experiencing FPS drop / rubber banding / skill check lag / teleporting

I'm writing this post because I feel as though I am out of options.

I have an AMD Ryzen 7 2700x with 16gb of RAM installed, Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080, Windows 10 on 64-bit OS.

I am experiencing EXTREME what I'd like to call "lag". Whilst playing survivor, I find myself jumping around and teleporting backwards. My skillchecks are delayed, not being hit immediately.

It comes and it goes. Sometimes it'll be okay for about 2 minutes. Anytime I get into a chase, it becomes evident that there is some serious issues. I have updated my driver on my graphics card, I have reset my modem, router, contacted my ISP and have them hard reset my line.

So... what's causing the problem? I've verified my game files, I don't have V-sync disabled (don't know how to mess with that), I have DBD installed on a HHD.

I do play with a WiFi Adapter, however these issues only started two days ago.

Please help. I don't want to lose my 600+ hours I've invested into this game.

First thing I'd do is try ditching the wifi adapter and go wired, just because there's so many things that can make wifi go nuts. Like if your neighbour changes their equipment, it can mess with YOUR connection (as an example).

Also, and I sincerely doubt this is related, but it's worth an ask... are you using a gaming mouse that has it's own software for config options?

WiFi is absolute [BAD WORD] and should never be used for gaming even in a game such as this.
