Once a character reaches level 50, you can choose to prestige them. This is entirely optional, you do not need to prestige if you don't want to. Prestige gives you a way to continue leveling up and progressing if you pour a lot of time into the game.
You can prestige any given character three times.
What do I gain?
Prestiging a character will unlock one piece of bloody clothing for that character. You'll also see a prestige icon next to that character showing how many times you have prestiged them.
Additionally, that character will permanently have a slightly higher chance to find high quality items in their Bloodwebs.
What do I lose?
Prestiging will cause the following to happen:
- Any perks will be lost
- Any items will be lost
- Any add-ons will be lost
- Any offerings will be lost
- Your character level will be reset to 1
- All but one perk slot will be locked
Please note: All of these will only affect that specific character. Prestiging Dwight won't cause Claudette's perks to be reset, for example.
What about my teachable perks?
You will not lose your teachable perks when you prestige. Once a teachable is unlocked, it is unlocked forever.
