Until there will be a mode with multiple killers there's no need for killer gestures. Survivors using theirs to "be toxic" doesn't change the fact that the purpose of their gestures is to interact with each other without having voice chat.

Did you actually check their profiles to see if they all were solo? In my games if I get rushed so hard it is when there's swf.

I played against the executioner and as him and what OP is saying about pallets and windows not being helpful is just an inexperienced survivor talk. Get some more hours in and try to get better.

Open Handed increases aura reading. Sole survivor doesn't give you aura reading ability. I guess it would work with object of obsession but I am not sure since I don't use this filth.
