I DO choose to run what I must. Even as a killer, limiting two perk slots to only Ruin and Undying is boring in itself. I for one enjoy some variety.

Being rank 1 without rank rewards or any purposeful benefit made me take it less seriously. Now I play for fun with minor tedious events, for example: a random that single-handedly throws the trial.

Rift cosmetics premium or not aren't exclusive. People that obtain rift cosmetics have it early access style compared to those who couldn't obtain it. Tbf it does take a few months to drop old releases.
