Nobody likes delays though, just announce the release date later just in case things come up. Even at a 5 Star restaurant if my meal is taking a long time I start wondering what’s going on.
-
They definitely changed freddy a week after he came out cause people cried nerf. That was a bad decision.
-
Ah that was the term I was looking for, gatekeeping. Yeah if you do this, stop. There’s no reason for it.

Good lawd, you can learn from mistakes. Be a very good player and still notice blatant balance issues and design flaws. There’s nothing wrong with bringing them up here, it’s what a forum is for. It’s not one or the other, but it makes sense people want to think this way since humans are so naturally inclined towards…

Adding to that, there are nasty players who attack the developers when they don’t get their way but they’re far from the majority. Most of us try to be constructive with our criticism, but too often I see it confused for hate.

One of the best perks in the game, it actually reverses survivor progress instead of merely slowing it down.
-
Huh? How does nerfing strong killers make the others more viable? That’s absurd. You have it backwards, if they buffed everyone to say Spirits level then it would be fine. If everyone’s “OP” no one is. BHVR’s expressed no interest in changing generator speed far as I’m aware.
-
Sounds like your teammates are baddies if that worked. I’ve only experienced a 4 man slug once against a Michael Myers when I first started playing.
-
^Good advice Sometimes it’s just luck also OP, I’ve had days where I’m constantly found first. But I’m one of the players who likes being chased.
-
You have to have him in the center of your screen for a few seconds. Sometimes just accept you wont reveal him, no reason to get downed just because you tried to reveal him.
-
Love/hate relationship. It’s a really good game so the flaws stand out more.
-
”OMG soooo boring to play against”! Translation: I can’t win against this consistently so it’s boring. I feel bad for BHVR, they try to design a unique killer and entitled players whine.
-
I don’t agree with the Nurse nerf but saying she’s not that strong is hilarious.
-
They’re dedicating two of four perks to one purpose, it’s fine.
-
If they have hard data then why do they make so many obvious mistakes, like nerfing Freddy a week after release, releasing Mettle of Man busted as it was, Either the data is flawed or they’re listening to the wrong feedback sometimes. If BHVR’s hiring I’ll take the job, that’s my area of expertise.
-
I remember multiple fog whisperers and prominent youtubers saying Ghost Face was fine and BHVR changed him anyway. It’s not hard to differentiate between players who know what they’re talking about and those who don’t, listen to the one’s who do. It’s simple.

I’ll have to wait until after rank reset to get the Pigs adept, keep running into 4 man SWF with stacked perks and items. I’m rank 10 atm, survivors are too good and I’m not good enough with Pig to defeat optimal squads.

Yet another example of nerfs not actually changing the game in a meaningful/good way. Nurse was the same for years but now they nerf here cause survivors suddenly were complaining en masse. Same with killers and Decisive Strike, it was nerfed yet it’s still a widely used meta perk. Mettle of Man nerf “worked” but now it’s…

I’ve found the only real way to apply pressure is ending chases quickly, hooking people, wounding as many as possible, taking advantage of altruism. This is why Pop goes the weasel is such a good perk, you can actually take progress away from the survivors instead of just making them achieve victory slower. Saying “just…

I’ll always like BHVR, just feel like they listen to reactionary members of the community who want to nerf everything rather than buffing things that really need it, they nerfed Freddy, a horror icon a week after his release and he was widely considered the worst killer until recently. Decisive Strike was “nerfed”, yet…

The problem is they keep trying to balance based off of winrates, general stats, and not listening to skilled players. They really don’t seem to listen to most of the Fog Whisperers at all, but correct me if I’m wrong.
-
I think 99%ing exit gates is fair. But I also thought the End game collapse was a bad change.
-
A skilled SWF team will beat an equally skilled Killer 100% of the time. The Killer has to be substantially better. I play both sides and can admit this. It’s no small task to outsmart 4 people who are all talking to each other.
-
I think it’s map design mostly, some of them just don’t accommodate killers who can’t get around the map quickly. The only time I think “Wow gen rush”! is when I’m playing Clown or trapper or something and two gens pop before I can get across the map. Just design better maps BHVR, make more of them like Hawkins or the new…

I think only licensed killers should have it.

I got hate mail today that just made me sad. He said he was playing with a new friend and I ruined the game for him. Going for my Ghost Face adept trophy. I don’t understand this mentality people have where they MUST win or the game’s not fun.

So your solution is adding to the issue?
-
Yeah, cause that wouldn’t be abused at all.

Clown, I love the laugh after hitting someone.
