1440p is now the normal size, but 2160p is zoomed out like it used to be in 1440p. On the killer's side, it doesn't make much of a difference, but as a survivor, it means smaller skill checks.

Changing to 1080p (w/ 100% text scaling): https://pastebin.com/maxGZap9 Changing to 4K (w/ 175% text scaling): https://pastebin.com/65LBLRN2 The key part you have to change at the bottom of both scripts is: cd 'HKCU:\Control Panel\Desktop\PerMonitorSettings\SAM0E00...34303' Look in your registry to see what ID # your…

I was able to do it without swinging. I could also climb up the bump and vault into the tractor as well.

----------------------------- This is the defect I submitted under the new bug reporting system. If you can upvote and comment, hopefully it will add visibility to the issue:
-
I use a Powershell script to change my resolution to 1080p before launching DBD. Then I use another to set it back to 4K afterwards. Text Scaling looks like it would work, but it causes mouse input issues. My post history has a bunch of posts about this topic. (I'm on mobile, I'll probably edit this post later with links)

Going to add one more thing I discovered that I really like: grouping up perks by category type. Right now some of my characters have all the unlockable perks and it's annoying to sort through them. It'd be nice if purple = tier 3, green = tier 2, and yellow = tier 1 and everything would just be in alphabetical order, but…

I couldn't believe it either. I asked the devs/CMs on their streams and they said that's just the way it's always been and other players say it's been like this since the beginning. This bug hasn't been acknowledged by the devs yet and it's about to be my 1 year anniversary of when I first made the video reporting this bug…
-
Also for those people that say "Turn your Text Scaling up", if you do that, the resolution is no longer real 4K and you get mouse input issues as well.
-
Strangely enough, Windows Store is $6.99 as well along with all the other DLCs on Humble Bundle (except for some of the licensed ones).
-
Humble Bundle is a $1 more than Steam, unless you have the Humble Choice discount. Oddly enough, this is the first DLC I noticed where there's a price difference vs. Steam.
-
Tables will turn next week. Level 4 has "Mori 3 survivors" as their first challenge.
-
DBD Mobile is introducing Killer and Survivor bots for when players disconnect from the game. If it works out, would be nice to have it in the non-mobile version. A potato survivor bot is better than a DC.
-
@zaos Put your monitor at 1080p resolution (1920x1080) and then play the game. That will fix your mouse.
-
This is what happens when you use 100% scale: Playing as Killer, it fixes the mouse issues, but all the text everywhere is very tiny. Playing as a Survivor, it also fixes the mouse issues, but the skill checks are 1/2 the size and the text is very tiny, including notification icons. The ONLY workaround I found so far is to…

Ok, I think I discovered something interesting here when I was taking comparison pictures of the skill check sizes: 4K 100% is true 4K. 4K 175% is just 1080p zoomed-in.* (Correction: 4K 200% is 1080p zoomed-in. 175% is somewhere in between.) If they just made the UI/Text for 4K 100% the same size as it is in native 1080p,…

(October 2019 was 4 months ago, not 16.) The game works under 4K (3840x2160), it's just the UI doesn't scale appropriately and everything is shrunk down. That's the bug.
-
I actually found a thread where a Dev acknowledges it, but says: "Our QA's investigation has concluded that this issue is caused by the scaling setting on Windows 10." The problem is the workaround they suggested doesn't actually work because the UI scales down with it. [Thread] I don't think they believe it's their game…
-
@jb_bhvr Do you mind if I talk to you on Discord? This only occurs when text scaling is higher than 100%. The issue is very easily reproducible because it happens when the mouse cursor hits the bottom or right side of the screen, it moves 1 pixel outside the window area, causing an M1 to want to resize the gameplay window…
-
This is what happens. It's the same as if I set the Text Scaling to 100%. The UI is tiny and unreadable. The skill-checks also become half the size too. (Comparing 4K 175% vs. 4K 100% Text Scaling)
-
@Peanits This is the thread I was referring to on your stream today. You can't attack as the killer when chasing someone looping clockwise when your Text Scaling is higher than 100% on high resolutions. 100% text scaling at 4K is broken because the UI is so tiny.
-
Well, I got a lot of positive feedback from this thread, so I created a Feedback forum post that's formatted better:
-
An acknowledgement would be nice. It'd be good at least let us know the bug has been noticed, even if it is low priority for them. Tested in 3.5.1, still an issue.
-
Thank you for fixing this! Was this recent?
-
Deranking means that person is just throwing games or DCing a lot, which sucks for everyone else in the match. I'd rather the feature be effective at red ranks/high MMR and not force someone to have to downrank to play with new friends.
-
@T2K I agree that the highly skilled players can stomp low-rank killers while going completely perkless. But they could also do this today on PC with a $5 smurf account and they wouldn't have any limitations, but they wouldn't be making any progression on anything because they're on another account. I figured this is a…

...you do know to get Adept Oni, you can't use any of these perks, right? 😏
-
Are you making any adjustments to the Rift shard earn rate for Tome II through XP or shard gains for completing harder Level 3/Level 4 challenges?
-
Just put it in the next rift and there will be 3 different color shades of green for it. 😏 (I'm looking at you, botany/trapper charms!)
-
Looks like Tome 3 exactly matches up what was leaked out 2 weeks ago. No changes. Honestly, the grindy challenges are fine, but I am getting very tired of the extremely situational master challenges that has the phrase "...in a single trial" in them that deliver very crummy rewards as well (same 3/5 rift fragments except…
-
The big issue in this case is that the grind gets harder and less rewarding the further you get into the tomes. Tome challenges increase in difficulty but not the reward. It takes you longer to progress through the tome, but your progression rate through the rift also slows down because the rewards aren't porportional to…
