Omg you weren't kidding. I watched the guide for Oni and I already feel way more consistent lmao. I can see why he's considered 3rd best killer (although I still place Hag higher), I literally have my power on demand now it's awesome! Also, his turning tech with the A and D keys are what I didn't realise before.02 май
PoweasMy flicking is miles better thanks to the guide!
MegMain98I’m glad you’ve found success with playing Oni! He’s one of my most favorite killers to play as late. He’s so enjoyable and feels so strong in the right hands. I still struggle a little with him but I can usually do fairly well with him.
I place Hag higher than Oni against most teams. I would only place Oni higher against teams with OoO and flashlights.
PoweasHonestly, I think Oni has the strongest power in the game (even stronger than Old Nurse), but he balances out by having such a weak start and relying on that first hit to get anything started. He's just too much fun at this point lol.
MegMain98I can agree with that to some extent. Oni has the ability to one shot super easily because he destroys pallets quickly, can traverse the map quickly, has really good steering, and has a 90° flick. This is all even better with Topknot.
He definitely has his weaknesses though such as teams denying his first hit on a powerful map like Ormond, tight corners, long walls, survivors playing stealthy (which is why you never pop your power unless you physically see a survivor because they’ll all play immersed until you run out), and indoor maps. Oni also can’t do a lot in a the buildings on Haddonfield and Springwood.
Oni has his counters and has more counters than Nurse or Spirit do. Nurse and Spirit simply do not care what map they are on (especially Spirit) and can get their first hit right away while Oni has to rely on getting an early first hit and slugging, Nurse and Spirit can do it right away.
Oni had the potentially to be the best slugger in the entire game but things have to line up in his favor while Nurse can slug the entire team whenever she pleases and also has little weaknesses and can ignore all defenses. Oni is much easier to play though so it’s easier to be good with Oni compared to Nurse.
PoweasYeah, that's why I don't think he's the best, only because of his weak starts and that he's reliant on that first hit. But he still feels so fresh to me. He's refreshing to play, like Spirit and Hag. Honestly one of my favourite characters, plus facing him, the noises make it kinda intense and he's scary in a chase, not someone you can mess around with lol.
I've missed you too! Spirit, yes, did a few games. Hag, haven't got back to her yet, want to level up my Oni and Demogorgon first (got the DLC's) and then I'll be back to my favourite killers. So right now, I'm an Oni main, but that'll change once I'm levelled with him and Demogorgon!025 апр
MegMain98Oni is an amazing killer! I’ve been playing him more often as well and I’ve been doing really well. I believe he has the strongest power in the game besides Nurse and maybe Spirit.
One thing I’m terrible with is when I raise my club above my head I lose track of survivors so I’m over here bashing my club like a madman. He’s also not very great on indoor maps or Badham. Other than that he’s so fun to play.
PoweasI find him super fun. I had a Hag game today, played nowhere near as good as I used to (then again, I'm like a different person now as survivor and even as spirit ;-;), but got a 4k. I just love how Hag relies on her own skill, and not the survivors.
Btw, as Oni I really whack the floor a lot too lol. But I slug an obscene amount so I usually bring the games back.
I have found that he's probably 5th best, since Nurse and Spirit obviously stomp him in power, Hag is way stronger, like he's incomparable to her. Billy is literally the same imo, but Billy is slightly better.
As Oni, is it wise to run Shadowborn so I can see more and so I'm less likely to miss? Also, my current build as him is Shadowborn, A Nurses Calling (might switch for sloppy though since it's better to try to force them to not heal so I can abuse my power), BBQ and Pop goes the weasel.
As Spirit, I'm rocking Pop goes the weasel, BBQ, A Nurses calling and STBFL :P, Hag is STBFL, Thanatophobia, Sloppy butcher and A Nurses calling. What's your builds?
MegMain98Hag is super underrated and I do find her better than Billy unless there is multiple OoO users in the match (which is a rarity). Hag isn’t as viable against OoO. The only non-stealth killers that can reliably deal with that is Nurse, Spirit, Billy, and Oni.
I also find Oni to be 4th or 5th best. His power is WAY stronger (when he actually has his power) than Billy simply because of the flick, but against a good team they will prolong chases and deny your first hit which is why Spirit and Billy are better. They can always use their power and get that first down a lot easier. Billy is more consistent but easier to loop.
I run BBQ, PGTW, Infectious Freight, and M&A on Oni. Shadowborn isn’t bad for the FOV but M&A is probably more beneficial because he has different chase music that isn’t as loud which allows him to get closer and get an easier first hit. I would definetly say Sloppy is better than Nurse’s on Oni though. Scott Jund made a great guide on how to play Oni.
On Spirit I run BBQ, PGTW, Nurse’s, and Stridor. Once I started running Stridor I couldn’t go back to not running it. It is a great perk on her because survivors can’t hide from you but if you can track survivors easily without Stridor, I wouldn’t get into the habit of running it. There is really no bad perks to run on Spirit as she can do well even perkless. Her only “bad” perk would be M&A. I see so many people run it and I don’t know why. She’s not a killer that sneaks up on survivors, she doesn’t care if you know she’s coming. It also allows for her whooshing to be heard from a closer distance.
On Hag I run BBQ, Corrupt Intervention, MYC, and M&A. M&A is a no brainer and MYC is probably Hag’s best perk. I run Corrupt to allow me more time to set up my traps but I am debating on changing it for STBFL because I’ve heard it is great on Hag. I don’t play Hag that often though but when I do I usually do well since people don’t play well against a Hag because she’s so rare.
PoweasThanks for recommending the guide, had a few really rough games as Oni... I need to learn to flick and everything since right now, I severely suck as him. He's still a lot of fun though!
